Holiday Inn Express Milwaukee-West Medical Center

I arrived at 2pm to the hotel hoping for an early check in to my room. Being that I am a platinum elite member, I thought this would be possible, but I knew that there would be a possibility that I couldn't because rooms just weren't ready. We were there for a concert and there had been a show the night before. As expected, the woman at the desk said there weren't any rooms available, so I decided to park my things in the lobby and just wait the hour to check in. As I sat there, I watched the front desk woman check in between 10-20 other guests immediately after telling me I couldn't check in til 3, even suggesting I wait until AFTER the concert to check in because it could take THAT long for our room to be ready. It was absolutely infuriating to see other guests check in while I just sat there being told I couldn't even check in at 3pm when it's clearly posted that that's check in time. It was an incredibly frustrating experience and while I understand it was busy and there was an event taking place, they could have been better prepared and communicated better in regards to the room availability and check in process.

Staff was all very friendly. Nearby road work was a bummer, but nothing can be done about that.

Charged after i left for no reason other than whatever scam they are pulling. Im a platinum memeber. Arrived at 1025 pm and left at 912 am the following morning. Do not waste your time dealing with this company if they are willing to rip of a cardholder who stays as much as i do around the country then they will surely rip you off as well.
Im sure ihg/chase will reverse the charge but this is still unnaceptable. Always remeber to document everything and take videos of when you arrive/depart.
Ihg and holiday in are AMAZING! just dont stay at this hotel period.

Nice place. We booked this hotel for a concert and were not disappointed at all. It was around 10 mins away from the venue and we had no problems getting there at all.

The front desk team is very helpful. They are great to deal with. I enjoy the locating. I'll definitely stay there next time I'm in town.

Large amount of customers couldn't check in at the 3pm time. Staff didn't give us good info on when we could check in. Real clusterfuck

I have very mixed feels about holiday inn express. On one hand the continental breakfast was delicious the service from the staff was amazing, but on the other hand the room was pretty bad to say the least. I booked a two room suite and were surprised to see all the damage in the room. Missing lighting fixtures, tv not hung but instead sitting on the dresser…so the old one maybe got stollen, paint dripping down the bar area in the living room, outlets that didn’t work, outlets covers that were broken, tons of rust and build up around fixtures, dust on the vents, A/C that didn’t work at all, and overall just not well up kept by maintenance. I will say this when I brought up the issues with the front desk everyone I talked with was wanting to help, and it was a very busy weekend with Morgan wallen being in town. I just expect a lot more from IHG properties as a member and have stayed an probably at least 50 different IHG properties with not many issues. Very disappointed in this location’s maintenance. Our room was comped so I did really appreciate that, as we slept in a hot room that the a/c didn’t work, and we had asked if they could call maintenance to check it. When we arrived back it still didn’t work…so we were almost about to leave and drive until we would find another hotel…but I was too tired to try and do that, so we just slept and were very hot all night. I would say I would give them another shot in the future, because again I’ve never been disappointed with an IHG property…but I’d just say to management, please work on hiring more maintenance people at this location!!

Check-in process was quick and efficient. The room needed repairs and updates to it. The room was not very clean. Bathroom was the worst.

I booked this hotel last minute and I was accommodated immediately with professionalism and prompt service. The room was very spacious and was extremely clean. The shower was very nice and had really nice shower supplies already inside.
