I phoned around to different cleaners to see who could come before the weekend when I had a guest visiting. Maid VIP was more expensive, but I booked them because I wanted the service done at by that time.

When I called, I was quoted $389 which was very expensive, but the rep on the phone said she would send "Two of our best maids for 4-5 hours" so for 8 hours of service, I thought my place would be immaculate after. I was sent 1 individual from 9-12, so 3 hours of time. He only did a standard cleaning. Advertised on their website for deep cleaning is cobweb removal, base boards, wiping cabinets, etc. Everything on the deep clean list wasn't done. Some areas in the bathroom were not done and the counter in the kitchen wasn't fully done so it didn't seem right to get charged that much. There was damage to the stove, too, but I didn't make an issue about it because it wasn't in great condition.

I emailed them explaining the deep clean charge wasn't appropriate since a standard cleaning was done. Plus, 3 hours VS 8 hours is vastly different. I did not receive a response, so I called.

I also mentioned if I booked through the website, the total came out to $359 for a deep cleaning ($229 for a standard cleaning), so that was something else that didn't seem right.

After being on the phone for 33 minutes back and forth, they said they would send someone out to finish the deep clean job within 7days. I explained I wanted the deep clean for the guest over the weekend and I have already been doing all the extra cleaning myself so this wasn't an acceptable resolution. I said if they want to do a 2nd standard cleaning in 2-3 weeks, that would be acceptable. I was told it had to be within 7 days per their policy.

I was deeply annoyed by this point and expected better service and resolution and was trying to give them the opportunity to handle this fairly. I said what would be right for a standard cleaning would be a $229 charge and, even though it was higher than other quotes I received ($150 range), they did do it by the weekend, so I would have been okay with that. They said no. So, I will dispute the charges with my credit card company and wanted to write this review to let people know my experience.

The cleaner was cool, by the way. Management is not.

Thanks for the review, Mari. It’s a little concerning how all of a sudden new items keep getting added to your complaint as we didn’t cave into your request of a refund and free cleaning because we stuck to our company policy. Simply put, you hired us when you needed someone last minute. No one else was available and you were reluctant to hire us due to our price. Now you want us to take the hit because others in your area were charging around $150 for a service you felt was just a regular cleaning? That’s not how life works. You admit in our initial email about the good job we did - now things are missed and we apparently damaged your stove...it’s interesting to see how you mention we don’t care to correct your complaints but by your own admission, we spent 33 minutes on the phone with you to try and resolve this. Any dispute that you file will be met by us with evidence to dispute your claim. Wish things turned out better. Best of luck in the future. -Chris

I'm very disappointed with they service
They canceled my appointments with them for Thanksgiving and Christmas.
They come to clean my house after Thanksgiving but never for Christmas.
I would not recommended to used them.

Hi Katherine, I'm sorry that we were able to accommodate your cleanings during the holidays. Rescheduling around those times are very difficult for us since we are very busy during that time. After cleaning your home for over 2 years now, I am shocked to see how disappointed you are in our service and are now not recommending us to others. When we mess up, we will do everything in our control to make it right. What I do have a problem with is you writing us a 1 star review without being entirely honest about your experience and the situation. For your Thanksgiving clean, you had an appointment scheduled for 11/17. I am currently reading your email on 11/15 where you emailed us mentioning that you needed to reschedule that appointment due to a water pipe breaking in your home, which totally understandable is something out of your control. But unfortunately, we couldn't reschedule your cleaning before Thanksgiving as all of our teams were booked for the week and your normal team of Betty & Lulu were going to be out most of the week to spend time with their families for Thanksgiving. On your Christmas cleaning, we again had you down for the Saturday before Christmas on 12/18. Again, you cancelled on us 2 days before because you were going to be out of town for vacation, which again, is no problem. But then your vacation was suddenly cancelled and you were going to be available for your cleaning which we set up before Christmas. Unfortunately, we had to cancel last minute because Betty learned of her son-in-law perishing in a car accident the morning before your cleaning. Instead of being empathetic toward the situation, you became upset. When Betty tried to reach out to you after Christmas via text to discuss the cleaning and what had happened, you condescendingly bragged that you found a better house cleaning company to handle your home. Life is full of unexpected surprises, sometimes great, sometimes horrible and all we can do is control what we can. It's unfortunate that we have always been understanding and accommodating (for the most part) when your schedule quickly changes last minute, but its deflating to see that you don't share the same sentiment. We appreciate you using our service over the last 2 years and wish you the best in the future. -Chris

Maid VIP is the only cleaning service I will use. They are always professional and punctual. Their cleaning crew is very thorough and I am always so pleased with the results.

Betty and Lulu started helping us about two months and I wish we found them sooner. Always positive and upbeat, I appreciate their attention to detail and willingness to make changes if needed. Glad to have them for weekly house cleanings.

The team was prompt and listened to my concerns and wishes for the service. They spent several hours making my house super clean. We used them for a deep clean and well be working on keeping our house clean by using them every two weeks. Love them!!!

The extra details of the heart blankets was just the icing on the cake. So sweet!!

Fast service, easy booking and reliable work. The housekeepers arrived on-time and paid attention to all my cleaning care concerns for some areas of our home. I was really impressed with how professional and efficient their work was. I have definitely become a repeat customer!
