Bought a VW GTI from Carvana and the brakes and rotors were toast. Called in and they dealt with me in a friendly and professional manner, and updated me with everything involved in the process, from dealing with the warranty company, to any updates concerning my vehicle's repair. This shop is honestly not bad, but their prices are absolute scams meant to empty your pockets of everything you have. I went in to get a quote on a timing chain service that I already knew I needed, and to their credit they did try to diagnose my car. I'm not sure why they needed 2 days of driving around to tell me I needed my timing chains done when I came in and told them that.Report
Now the worst part is when they gave me the quote. They said "it would cost you $11,000 for a timing chain service. We just recently had an S5 in the shop who had the same service done and it cost the same." This absolutely blew my mind, since all it took was a google search to find the parts from the dealership website are $1600 alone and 4 other shops in the area I immediately afterwards called and asked quoted me around 3,000-4,000 for the entire job.
Unless your parts are made of solid titanium, there is absolutely no reason it should cost that much, unless you were deliberately price gouging.
The mechanics are nice and knowledgeable, but be careful before agreeing to any service. I'm glad I did, and it ended up saving me $7,000.

History Established in 2005. In 2005, Adam and Eddie started M-Spec Performance in a single car garage in Adam's backyard. After the neighbors got tired of the endless BMWs taking up their parking spaces, Adam and Eddie decided to move their business to a small, rented out a garage space in Bayside. After about a year here, they expanded to their first real shop in Glendale in late 2007. However, even this was not enough room for the quickly growing business. M-Spec Performance recently doubled its size with a move to the current location in Middle Village, NY. This new shop is 5,000 square feet and has been completely renovated to fulfill the needs of the ever growing customer base.
