Add ReviewThe location was perfect since u was going to the San Jose Sharks game, the hotels entrance was clean, they allow me to check in before 3pm, I greatly appreciate that, my room was neat it had a welcome package with water ear plugs etc. I will definitely stay there againReport

Positive: the location was generally ideal and accessible Negative: this is absolutely not a 4-star hotel. it's maybe, at best, a 3-star hotel. lots of scuff marks everywhere, stains on the room carpet. also, only parking at the hotel is 'valet' for $25 a day, but there is no valet. plus an extra $15 for 'destination fee'Report
Great experience.Report
Nice placeReport
This hotel is still running on bare bones. No valet, no food service, and only one employee at night. We stood outside the hotel waiting for the evening (9 pm) desk staff person to let us in. In the morning, we had nary an offering of coffee or a pastry - everything is still closed "because of Covid." This in the center of downtown San Jose.Report
What's more, the room was mediocre. Renovations were completed with some cut corners, leaving some older fixtures on the walls or simply painted over.
This isn't a classy hotel. It's a hotel that likely used to be grand, but has fallen into hands that don't care for it or its guests anymore. There are much better hotels to stay at in downtown San Jose for the money.
Great choice. Solid hotel that is quiet yet convenient to reach. Room is large, well equipped, clean and comfortable. Large bath is ultra modern and spotless.Report
Best of all is the friendly, efficient, and concerned staff. I am able to leave this review because staff were able to provide a charger cable, which i had forgotten. Very grateful for their cheerful help.
Completely satisfied all around.

The hotel is located next to good restaurants and bars. Starbucks is walking distance. Train station, whole foods, CVS are also 7-13 min walk. The hotel entry requires access key and if you are checking-in you have to press doorbell, so reception can unlock the door. The lobby is small and indoor restaurants are shut down. So you have to go out for food. There are 9 floors and rooms are small. The room service or change of sheets is only done when you ask at the reception. The reception staff is very helpful and responsive. Overall great location but staying inside is average.Report
Let's start with location. A+. Right off the freeway and heart of Downtown SJ!Report
The building is 1920s Art Deco and is absolutely breathtaking. Extremely clean and welcoming. The staff are top notch and made our stay so memorable. Definitely a must-stay in San Jose!!
