We checked out on Nov 8 , 2021 from Holiday inn Sarasota Lido Beach, FL
The nice view and location was all ruined by the hotel housekeeping who stole a wedding band and 2 other gold rings at checkout from the bathroom amenity tray and general manager Kym did not help or assist in any way to interrogate the housekeeper who cleaned our room and try to recover the valuable jewelry. We checked out and the housekeeper was the one who entered the room immediately after we left the room, because she knocked on our door, we had requested late checkout and she rushed us to enter the room and clean it, so we saw her going into the room. How can you give good feedback to a hotel where employees steal from your room? This ruined our whole otherwise good experience and vacation. General manager , unwilling to help in any way either to recover our jewelry or investigate and interrogate housekeeper who cleaned our room at checkout when it was so obvious who stole the jewelry...can check security cameras and see who went into our room right after checkout. Plus they know for sure which housekeeper cleaned the room at checkout.
We filed a police report and contacted Corporate IHG also, but they keep saying that the hotel is a franchise and they cannot help either?! Outrageous!!! So, the hotel is on the IHG website, you can earn and redeem IHG points there, but has nothing to do with IHG?!? According to IHG they are just using the IHG logos....wow...I'm sorry but this is an absurd and just plain lame explanation! Shame on IHG as well!!!
As Platinum Elite IHG member we stay in many IHG properties and this has never happened before, but apparently employees at this location can't be trusted at all. We demanded an investigation, they said they followed their protocols, but no help and nothing has been recovered so far from the general manager Kym or any of the housekeeping employees or housekeeping manager. Shame on these people !!! IHG is no help at all either. This is the worst ever experience we had in many years being loyal Platinum Elite IHG members. Stay there at your own risk knowing that they have thieves and liars among the housekeeping employees. And think twice about staying in any IHG properties, since their corporate is not willing to help or compensate you in any way if items were stolen from your own hotel room.

Staff was wonderful and rooms were clean, two huge things for me! Neighborhood was quiet and location to the beach and shopping circle was great! Will definitely be back!

We loved the direct ocean view from our balcony and the convenient walking distance to Saint Armand Square. The beach is beautiful and right across the street. Saint Armand Square has many good restaurants, nice shops, and a wonderful art gallery, were we were able to watch a magnificent painter at work. Our room was small and needed updating, but our king bed was comfortable and there was a computer safe and refrigerator. The water pressure was decent and Bath and Body works toiletries were supplied. The staff was very friendly and helpful, and parking was a breeze.

Das Hotel hat eine top Lage. Direkt am Strand, schön ruhig und doch sehr nahe am angenehmen Trubel St. Armands. Das Personal ist sehr nett und extrem zuvorkommend. Doch das Hotel selber ist nun etwas in die Jahre gekommen...

I will definitely be staying at this hotel again. The staff was really great, very pleasant and knowledgeable about the hotel and what's going on for activities up town. The hotel was super clean and even smelled clean. The pool area was super clean and fun along with the bartenders. I found the beds to be very comfortable. The bathroom needs a bit updating, the shower wasn't great but overall my stay was awesome and I will definitely be booking here again.
