We were placed on a floor with a little league ball team that had no one in control of them. They ran up and down the hall screaming all night. We didn't sleep at all. My husband called the desk to complain. Nothing changed. When we checked out I informed the desk clerk of how horrible our stay was and she said that the night clerk had left a note that we had called to complain. She offered us 5000 points for our problem but I told her that I thought that they should refund our entire payment. She said that she couldn't do that but she would have the manager call me. In a couple of hours the manager called and apologized. She said that they do send someone up to handle problems but only after the guest calls twice to complain. She then offered to give me 9000 points but she would not refund the whole night because we stayed until morning. I don't know where she thought we would go in the middle of the night! Anyway, to top off the whole mess, she never added the points to our account like she promised. We stay almost exclusively at IHG properties but we will never go near the Holiday Inn Riverfront in Owensboro, KY again.Report

I feel like the desk clerk on duty when I checked in has a habit of putting customers where he want them. After observing his attitude before i completed my check in I came to this conclusion after completing my check in due to the fact he didn't show any interpersonal skills dealing with me. When I saw the room and informed him I didn't register online for this type of room. I had to wait for awhile before he could put me in a proper room..Report
In essence this entire èxperience I had to endure was unnecessary .

Amazing place to stay , the rooms were nice, quiet and clean. The breakfast was really good, hot and plentiful. I would definitely recommend this hotel and will visit there againReport
