Holiday Inn Johnson City

The staff was incredibly rude from the moment I entered.
There was a pompous air about them as they asked me to wait my turn for service upon check-in. Please keep in mind that there was essentially no one at the hotel and the phones weren't ringing. It's like walking into an empty hotel and being asked to wait, for upwards of 20 minutes.

Beyond the rude service, I received next to no help from room service. The room service help I received was only after many phone calls, deep sighs, and hang-ups from the front desk. Many times I tried to phone the front desk only to have them not answer at all. Later when I called on my personal cellphone instead of the hotel phone the front desk picked up immediately. Which gives you the sense that they are purposefully avoiding answering you're call.

All and all, bad form. The kind of service that changes you from a happy-go-lucky traveler to a jaded angry person. I don't like being made to be angry or treated like I'm less than.

The room was fairly clean. The bed had a red stain on the white comforter, like kool-aid or some such color drink had spilled on it at one time.

This Holiday Inn is our go to when we are in Johnson City. The service and staff are always great, the hotel is clean and food is good and reasonably priced.

Convenient on and off the freeway.

Allow ALOT of time if you pay and plan to eat breakfast. We were never served.

Very nice and clean foyer. Room looked very clean however when my 2 year old played on the floor, he was covered in dog hair (it didn't smell like a dog however it obviously hadn't been vacuumed). Then my son found pieces of dog food on the floor around the closet, thankfully we took them before he ate them.

The lady at the front desk was so helpful and nice.

Was welcomed warmly. Great room; attention to cleanness was exceptional

Nice pool, healthy breakfast choices, but front desk staff was very short on patience when I asked for stuff
