Holiday Inn Express Mystic

First off the front desk staff is awesome. Especially Jake. My low rating it's because the elevator was broken and only the ice machine on the third floor it was working. We had a room on the first floor. Breakfast was a bag breakfast with plenty of food in it, I guess due to covid. But all the restaurants in the area were open and serving? Very convenient location. PS loved the pillows so much I went home bought them online. ??

My family needed a getaway.
We've been to this holiday inn before.
It was ok before.

We arrived to find out the ELEVATOR was not working, forcing my toddler and elderly mother to walk up the stairs.

We arrive to learn the refrigerator, phone, and bathtub didn't work. Yep, I said bathtub. When we put my daughter for a bath, the water would not stay in the tub, it just went down the drain.

Of course we called Jake, super helpful and friendly. But what can one man do, right? He spent time fixing the phone, replacing the fridge. I didnt expect him to have a plumber's license, so we decided to give the guy a break and not report the bathtub that was unable to hold water.

Jake told us there was 24 hour coffee, tea, and hot cocoa. So we went to get some hot cocoa for my daughter. No hot water. Just a disappointed child.

So we head to the pool... no towels for patrons.

Very disappointing.

Jake was great. But the experience was... less than what we expected. And I was ashamed to have brought my family there.

Oh, and I wa given 3,000 points for my family's inconvenience.

There's no way we would have driven hours to this Holiday Inn if we had known.

Suggestion: hotel back entrance by the pool should have outside light for guest safety. Also, housekeeping should check bathroom tissue container for adequate contents. Our box had one (1) tissue remaining.

Great option for a wonderful stay in this charming town. Would highly recommend!

Great hotel near activities and great dining. Easy access to highway

Stayed for the weekend with my wife. Very clean rooms. The staff was very friendly. The king bed was the best never had a hotel bed be so comfortable

My stay was comfortable and the staff was welcoming and friendly. The hotel was quiet at night and I was able to relax and get a good night's sleep.

From the moment we walked in and were welcomed this was a very positive experience. The elevator wasn't working, and I walk with a cane due to both knee's having been replaced--we had originally been assigned a room on the top floor, but due to my knee's that was going to be very difficult for me. The young man checking us in did some rearranging and put us in a nice room on the 1st floor. The bed was very comfortable, and due to Covid they are doing Grab and Go breakfast bags. These breakfast bags were awesome: a Jimmy Dean Sausage and Egg Croissant, 2 Cutie Pie's, a Nutra Grain Bar, Chobanni Yogurt, and a Juice Box. Coffee is available 24/7, but there is also a Keurig Machine in your room with coffee pods and tea bags.
The hotel's location on the hill overlooking Olde Mystic Village is perfect. We saw a breathtaking sunset our 1st night there as we went out for dinner.
The pool and hot tub are the perfect way to unwind before retiring for the night.

elevator broken - needs new mattresses, pillows and better breakfast.
Pool was good - Robbie took care of problems competently.

Excellent value friendly staff and easy access to the highway. Located near Mystic Aquarium is great to visit. Clean and well kept location.
