Holiday Inn Express Amarillo East

Woke to a barking dog in room across from us around 1230 AM. After numerous attempts to get someone at the front desk my wife reported the barking. The barking continued and she again talked to front desk person and again told front desk person we needed sleep so we could drive all the next day. The barking continued, so at 0200 AM we packed up and were told at front desk no one else complained so there must have not been a problem. She also refused to make it right with us or refund us.We don't recommend staying at this place, to anyone.

Our room was great, looked brand new. Breakfast was good and hot foods were hot.

Just the little details window blinds were broken swimming pool and spa closed I hate paying for amenities that are not available, sick of Covid-19's as an excuse to close things down you just need to clean and keep safety measures in place

A nice hotel while on the road. Staff was friendly and helpful. Parking off street was safe. Room was very quiet from outside noise, but walls thin between rooms do you can hear muffled snoring. Nice variety of breakfast items to choose from. Staff had a good selection of local restaurants to choose from.

Hair in the tub and on the chair, stale scent. Can't really relax in a room that seems gross and you don't want to touch anything. There was a chewed rat by our car in the morning.

Room was not sanitized for COVID-19, there were no amenities (soap-kleenex-toilet paper) and floor carpet was wet.
I had requested a room on the first floor because we had a dog but the staff said the room would be on the 3rd floor. We were given the room on the first floor after some discussion. The room appeared to be an over flow room where items were stored. Example the bed had 2 box springs which made it difficult to get into.

We have been staying at these hotels while in our road trip. They are very consistent on being clean, nice friendly staff, good warm breakfast ( if you don't have gluten or dairy allergies ) ps: they have hard boiled eggs and bacon so that's was good for me. Comfortable beds and pillows.
But we picked this hotel also because it was right off the I-40 !! People don't mention this on their reviews! So your welcome ?
