Crowne Plaza Pittsburgh South

Room was awful. Heater didn't work probably, rugs were dirty and damp, ceiling stucco was missing in two big spots probably due to leakage. Curtain shade was ripped in multiple places.
I stayed at crowne plazas many times in different locations. In fact, my daughter had her wedding in the crowne plaza in California. It was great. I was always impressed with my stay.
I was very disappointed with the Bethel Park location.

Amazing property. I travel to the area weekly and while there are several hotels closer I don't even hesitate to drive right by them. The GM Eric, front desk crew along with all of the other employees I have met truly make you feel right at home

I enjoyed my stay at the Crowne Plaza. Everything was seamless from making reservations to check out. The environment was clean and classy. Love the decor. Overall I'd rate my experience a 9.5 out of 10. If breakfast was included it'd have been a 10 out of 10

Don't know where to start. Filthy bed with long nasty black hairs, under and between all the sheets. Blinds and window coverings that do not close, couldn't enjoy sleeping in as the sun blasted the windows at 6am and kept the room more lit than an interrogation room. And finally, what sent me over the edge......the gentleman at the desk says, oh you folks are getting the perfect corner room, it's so quiet. BS!!! The pop and ice machine was right outside our room door, literally against the wall and door. Those damn machines ran all night, loud and annoying, absolutely horrible!
I picked Crowne because it had good ratings, yet was further than I wanted to go and twice the cost. I will never stay at another Crowne, or use priceline again.
This was the worst experience with a hotel I've ever had!!

You can only achieve your goals if you have your days planned to get you from one account to the next without back tracking. The Crowne Plaza South is perfectly located in south western PA. I can get to Ohio, West Virginia and northern PA because of the highway system.

Positive: The water pressure in the shower. Negative: the man who checked us seemed as if he was drunk or on some kind of drugs. It took him over 30 minutes to check us in. The bed was super springy and uncomfortable, the bathroom lights had burnt out bulbs, the shower fan did not work. Chairs were stained.

Staff very attentive; housekeeping tried to help as much as they could; when breakfast open on weekends, service staff very kind and welcoming; Eric in Room Assigning was very helpful and got back to us very quickly - he always asked how our stay was going and if his team could assist further :)

Nice property. Comfortable rooms. Convenient location for visiting three family households in Mount Lebanon, Bethel Park, and Upper Saint Clair. The entire staff is nice, friendly, and professional. Everyone makes you feel like family. One front desk person really stood out. Ellen went above and beyond helping to make my stay more enjoyable. I owe her a beer for her extra effort, kindness and friendliness. Thank you, Ellen.
