I have had lots of acupuncture in my life, but not like this! Steven Sonmore is a truly gifted Licensed Acupuncturist! I had a terrible muscle spasm for over a year that would not go away no matter what, and after my very first visit, it was gone, and has not come back! I have a severely degenerated spine with spinal stenosis. Steven is giving me my life back. I can't tell you how much he has helped me with my chronic pain! Not only has he helped with my chronic pain, he has cured my chronic stomach problems as well. This IS the place to go for true, authentic acupuncture. Dr. Steven Sonmore has been an incredible resource over the past eight years. Most recently I visited for treatments after being diagnosed with Lymes disease. Prior to visiting my symptoms were advancing rapidly despite the antibiotics prescribed by my MD. Suffering with exhaustion, joint pain, headaches, light sensitivity, and fever. With a history of treatments for PCOS from Dr. Steven I knew returning to him was the best decision for my new Lymes diagnosis. During my initial visit he was able to quickly assess and develop a strategy to combat my body’s response to Lymes. He explained he would work to replenish the balance and build the reserves to naturally combat this debilitating issue. With full trust I began to visit and was delighted in just a few weeks my symptoms of exhaustion, joint pain, headaches, light sensitivity, and fever had been cured. As I continue to treat with him weekly, I understand how necessary it is to include acupuncture to live in optimum health. I initially visited Steven Sonmore after being diagnosed with a mild concussion. My symptoms included fogginess, headaches, and incredible neck pain. After one visit, the majority of my symptoms were relieved and felt manageable. After around 12 sessions with Steven I felt almost completely relieved of all of my symptoms. He truly does remarkable work and I am always confident that I will feel relief after a session at Complete Oriental Medical Care.

I am so glad a friend referred me to Steven Sonmore!! Nearly 2 years ago, I was in a double whiplash car accident (I was the 4th car of 6 to collide). I have not been able to rotate my head enough to see car in another lane, or to ride a motorcycle, or even to pull out a ticket at a parking ramp. I have tried almost everything to loosen up my neck including chiropractic, massage, physical therapy, cortisone shots, cranio-sacral massage, cryotherapy and acupuncture. Each therapy provides some relief, then stops being effective. Steve's acupuncture has been by far the most successful. My head rotation has definitely improved and my massage therapists tell me that the tissue is much softer than it used to be. And what a wonderful way to be healed - taking a mid-day nap while listening to soothing music. I love all the benefits of acupuncture and Steven is a magician with his needles!!

I would highly recommend Steven to any one considering accupuncture! Went to Oriental Medical Care back in 2010 to solve my recurring tummy troubles and after a fabulous diagnosis and a 10 day accupuncture course and some chinese herbs and supplements for a few more months, many of my problems were resolved for at least a couple of years!
When I went back to MSP in 2015, I made it a point to go back for some treatment. Same results as before ... Steven is a great practitioner, really listens to you and then diagnoses the problem before recommending any course of action.
I have found that accupuncture helps with pain, headaches, cravings, upset stomachs!

I would like to tell you about my first personal experience with acupuncture. But before I start let me say that I was a skeptic but not as much as some of my friends. The reason for that was my husband Don had used acupuncture in the past on the recommendation of a friend who suggested acupuncturist Steven Sonmore. He got excellent results with Steve who treated both his knee pain and a tightening area in his esophagus.
Since I was hurting in the sciatica area and down my leg I was a little hesitant. I was quite familiar with the route of traditional American medicine as I had audited records of people being treated for spine and back problems. Many people went through pills, X-rays, PT, chiropractic, MRIs, spinal injections and other options only to keep returning and finally having surgery. A long process that often seemed to end with not a great deal of relief or repeating some of the process all over again.
So after my husband’s experience I decided to try acupuncture with Steve, also. There I learned that there were two premises: 1. You need to treat the underlying cause not just the symptoms; and 2. It would take time to heal the problem but following that you needed to continue until you reached a point where you entered more of a state of wellness. I wanted this to work and I wanted it to last so I was willing to go all the way and not stop when I thought I was OK.
I am feeling better after only 11 treatments in a 4 week period. I can sit, walk and stand without pain…maybe still some little discomfort at times but so much better than I was. And thanks to Steve I went from using codeine, Tylenol and ibuprofen to nothing. So now I am headed onward to see if I can maintain the progress I have made.

I had no feeling in my right fingers and could not throw a ball to my kids nor close a truck door. After 3 sessions I was able to get all feeling back, little pain and play with my children. I always thought physical therapy was the answer and never wanted a needle in my body. My 1st consultation amazed me! After I got home I began feeling the energy through my elbow, where I had the most pain and I was able to cook dinner and do the dishs with very little pain! I recommend this treatment to anyone who has physical change to their body with great results. I will never go to a medical doctor and take their synthetic medicine again!
