I was recommended to Steve by one of his patients. Both Steven and his assistant, Nai Jin, are very approachable people. Nai Jin makes sure that I am scheduled well in advance and is really flexible to accommodate my busy school schedule. The reason I sought acupuncture was more for my psychological and my internal physical well being. Steven is really knowledgeable and knows what's going on with your body just by the sound of your pulses! I bought the 24 session package and I have definitely seen some results, slowly. I also have night sweats and after acupuncture, I don't get night sweats as often and my overall wellbeing is definitely improving. I am looking to buy another package and continue to be seen by Steven

This stuff is crazy effective! The best pain relief I have ever found. Real, genuine healing with no side effects and no pain killers, no masking the pain temporarily. It has so many benefits; body and mind. I just wish I knew about it years ago. Healing the body natuarually by a Ancient Chinese practice that's thousands of years old. I have to admit I was kind of skeptical before trying acccupuncture but the results speak for itself. I had an enormous amount of relief after my first session. I am a very active guy and do martial arts so I always have pain somewhere, I just tell Steven the accupuncturist where the pain is and he is able to target it every time. Don't let fear stop you from achieving better health.

This has been an amazing experience for me. Steven began treating me with acupuncture and Chinese herbs for migraines about two months ago, and within two weeks I began to see results (some experience relief for their issues immediately; with others it takes longer). For years I averaged about 5-6 migraines a month, very consistently. Since undergoing Steven's care, my migraines have dramatically dropped in frequency and are gradually tapering off. My goal is to eliminate them completely--something I didn't think was possible. Now, with Steven's help, I'm confident I can get there. I highly recommend Steven!

I would definitely not recommend Steven Sonmore for acupuncture. He has questionable/inconsistent billing practices and other red flags. I came to see him for mild headaches and because of the convenient location of his practice. I have met my deductible and have 100% coverage for acupuncture. The first session was billed to my insurance ($67) plus a $65 new patient out of pocket fee. The second visit I assumed he was treating me for the same issue. As I was checking out, the receptionist billed my insurance the $67 plus had me pay an additional $30 out of pocket for treating my thyroid. She said my insurance doesn’t cover thyroid problems. I asked her if he treated my thyroid the first visit, and she said yes, but he was being nice and didn’t charge me for it. I’ve never had an acupuncturist itemize what organ/gland they treated. My assumption is that acupuncture is holistic and insurance could never possibly cover every little thing they suggest they are treating. If he doesn’t want to take insurance, why doesn’t he just change his billing policies? I found that the receptionist sharing my personal information over the phone in front of another patient to my insurance company to be very unprofessional. You can also hear Steven and the patient’s conversation in one of the therapy rooms since it sits right next to the reception area. I will not be returning and I would not recommend this practice. Beware that there are no prices on his website. His receptionist is often confused and confusing!

I found Steven on the internet looking for Chinese Acupuncture. I was very ill with C-Diff and what a blessing he has been in helping me get better. I noticed a difference after the first treatment. He listens to you and knows how and where to treat you. The herbs he has recommended have helped so much. Steven and his wonderful staff make you feel so welcome. To be back on the road to being healthy is due to a big thank you to Steven and his expertise knowledge in helping people get healthy.

Wow! I love everything about Complete Oriental Medical Care! It is an amazing place!

I originally found Steven via a Google search and read through his mountains of positive reviews. I initially came in for a consultation about an old shoulder injury that limited my mobility and caused me regular pain and discomfort; a friend had recommended that I try acupuncture to relieve the underlying issues.

I have been so happy with not only my results on my shoulder, which have been cumulative and long-lasting, but also on the innumerable other benefits of acupuncture: I sleep much better, I have a greater overall sense of health and well-being, and not having daily pain and discomfort has freed me up to return to things I had let go (rollerblading, certain types of exercise I no longer felt comfortable trying).

The other most amazing ancillary benefit of my time with Steven has been a decrease in overall stress. Like everybody I have a stressful job and I work long hours, the sessions at Complete Oriental Medial Care have been my time to do some self-care and some quiet meditation, both things that have been pretty lost in the past number of years between career and being a parent. It is some of the most important and valuable time in my week.

I have moved on from working on my shoulder to a combination of other things that needed work, stress release, some lower back pain and his support of my weight-loss goals has been also quite effective.

Finally, the form of acupuncture that Steven practices (Distal Needle Acupuncture) does not require undressing which makes getting in and out easy when the days are busy.

I cannot more highly recommend Steven and his staff, including the amazing, warm and kind Naijin who makes my day every time I see her. You need to try Complete Oriental Medical Care!!

I have had great results using Steven Sonmore and Complete Oriental Medical Care/Acupuncture and Chinese Medicine. I went to Steven initially after waking up with severe pain in my neck and upper back that would not subside. He worked on treating the pain, and i had immediately relief. Over a period of three weeks, the pain was gone. I am now seeing him for other issues and am sending my husband and children there as well. Steve is an interesting guy and knows Chinese medicine which i am becoming a believer it! I have been referring to him many people as well.

I have a hard time even going to a western "medical doctor" anymore as they are so ready to put you into a category and don't take time to know you personally. They know almost nothing about diet (medical degree require only one class on diet), and they treat primarily with surgery and drugs and, i do not believe in either. Our family has had numerous major misdiagnoses that would have led to death or severe unalterable medical conditions had i complied with their foolish antics by such aggressive medical means. I do a lot of research and read profusely on this topic. I also stand up to the capitalistic engine that is "healthcare" now devouring our countrymen here in the US as medical malpractice is now the third largest cause of death in the US with the US healthcare system ranking somewhere between 50th and 80th in the world which seems hypocrisy as we are one of the wealthiest nations. It is a shame.

I’ve had chronic migraine headaches for almost my entire life. For the last 8 years, I had a migraine on an average of 20 days out of every month. It had even been suggested to me by my doctor that I starting looking into filing for disability. During those 8 years, I tried everything to alleviate the migraines including seeing a neurologist, physical therapist, chiropractor and therapist. I tried restrictive diets, yoga, prescription medications and even acupuncture and Chinese herbs (at other locations). While some were helpful in slightly reducing the frequency of migraine, I could never get it below 15 migraines per month. In just a few weeks, they were almost completely gone and I feel better than I had in over a decade. I also saw Steven for neck tension, which is also greatly improved and dysmenorrhea, which is already practically non-existent. I’ve seen all of these results in just one month. I highly recommend Stevens services.
