Scheduled a phone consultation and they never called.

I've had good experiences with this company before, but this time I'm disappointed because the tech misdiagnosed the problem and relying on his misdiagnosis I spent money (with someone else) that I didn't need to. He determined my gas valve was bad, but he never checked the gas line to verify there was even gas being supplied to the appliance. It turns out, Atmos Energy forgot to reconnect my house when they were doing upgrades in the area. Update: This review was provided via a link this service provider sent after service was completed, and it is definitely this company that provided the service.

Thankful to Top Gun for their professionalism and service! I had multiple quotes to replace a very old unit and Top Gun clearly stood out. David provided a thorough explanation of my options and provided clear and detailed estimate. After an initial hiccup Jon took care of us and went above and beyond to help us figure out an issue with the thermostat in our new house. I can tell he cares about his customers and his company’s reputation.

Tech came out next day several weeks ago on one of our 105 degree days after I called with "air conditioner down" message. The tech was on time and, found out later, also the owner. He found the problem within seconds (compressor on outdoor unit not running). Simple capacitor swap. Old capacitor had failed and the compressor needs the extra kick to get going. He saved us!

Top Gun is our go to heating and air company! We’ve always been impressed by their communication and quality work. Special shout out to Justin for all his help with our recent project!

This is how to get the best service out of this company:
- Prepay for a maintenance plan that includes a single free diagnostic per unit for any time during the year
- Call them out when your AC goes out but still pay them $99 for the already paid diagnostic
- Have them come out and not even accurately diagnose the issue (definitely good sign if they don't go into the attic)
- Sit there and listen to their sales pitch telling you need to replace BOTH your systems and all components including components that are only 6 years old
- Notice that they say even their new units go out
- If you are uncertain, ask them to explain and hopefully they can explain when your transmission goes out in your car you should replace the whole car.

This will give you peace of mind. You might have spent $30k to gut perfectly good equipment, but at least you trusted them.

Reply to Owner: Yes I'm the idiot. I definitely didn't show the quote. Half my AC unit isn't only 6 years old. Also there is definitely no ladder to access to the attic (other AC company was even angry they could easily walk up to the attic). I definitely didn't tell John the actual issue (lack of airflow that you can feel with your hand). I'm the idiot.

Breaking from being funny: This company gave me a call and squarely agreed I paid for a diagnostic but they agreed they didn't diagnose it. They flat out lied in their reply except about their problems with new units. I in fact want to replace outside unit but I made it very clear several times that I called them out to get an accurate diagnostic so I could know what all should be replaced. I was open to replacing many parts of the system, but I'm not replacing things like my furnace that are 100% functional and only 6 years old. They had ladder access, I've been up there, other technicians have been up there. I showed John how to get access. Top Gun left us in the heat and refused to diagnose how to fix our AC besides just replacing the EVERYTHING. Also it's pretty hard to get 300k miles on a car that is only 6 years old and 100% working ????. Shoot and a miss! I'm the idiot for sure.

I can always count on Top Gun HVAC for a quality and professional repair.

I tell you Top Gun H/A is where it is at, I was without air for 14 days in 100 degree weather, I called and they was able to fit me in on a tight schedule and when they arrived they accessed the situation and the air was back on and the temp was dropping.. I AM ONE SATISFIED CUSTOMER. Thanks Clint for scheduling me and Austin for coming out and getting the air right. YESSSS!!!!!
