Continuing to be one of the most active and well-respected private companies in the storage industry. Currently, The Lock Up operates storage centers in eight states. When Fred was running the operation, it was a great place for storage, since then it has gone downhill. The place is dirty, and now there are all these extra charges, including an "energy surcharge" and an insurance surcharge which they fail to tell you can be removed if you provide proof of homeowner's or renters insurance. In addition to the surcharges they are constantly raising the monthly rent. The carts for transporting your items are garbage and each time I am there, I see people struggling with the carts as they try to maneuver them over the garage threshold and watch all their items fall off the cart. Fortunately, many new storage facilities are opening up in the area so I will probably move my stuff out.Report

All units are safe and secure with 24 hour camera surveillance, free locks on every units, and an electronic coded access system.
An interior loading dock and full size elevators are available on your moving day as well as access to a free moving truck, dollies, hand carts, and blankets.
