I got a traffic ticket in Princeton, NJ which prompted me to look for a law firm. I stumbled on Shugar Law office because of their high ratings. I went to court on the day of the hearings - it was mid February right when the first case of COVID-19 was reported in NJ. The lawyer representing me was late for court. He came in and asked me aside and let me know that my case would not go over $70 plus court fines. I had been ticketed for going over the limit by 14 miles per hour. The lawyer did not speak for me. Instead of a lowered fine, I was hit by a $350 court fine. The initial fine was $175. My DL points were not affected, though. Instead of a speeding ticket, they charged me with reckless driving. After the hearing, the lawyer left. I walked after him and asked him why he lied. He said the courts are different. He was sacrosanct in his manner and aloof in his approach. He did not give me a chance to explain and was in a hurry to leave. I felt used and regretted hiring this law firm. Perhaps it was the lawyer who was this way. He was middle aged white dude, about six feet tall and lanky and skinny. Did not smile and barely talked. The worst lawyer.

Hey Cliff. Sorry you feel this way. When you first called I specifically told you that you would pay a fine of $389 and specifically sent you a legal agreement that said your fine would be $389 and your fine was exactly $389. So not quite sure where your confusion was. We did exactly what I told you would exactly happen. You did not plead guilty to Reckless Driving. That is your problem. You don't pay attention. You don't pay attention when people are talking to you. Maybe you should re-read the legal agreement and get your facts straight before you go on social media. No one lied to you...are u serious?? And instead of going on social media why don't you call me. The fact that you didn't jive with the lawyer and you think he had bad bedside manner doesn't mean he is a bad lawyer. Everyone had different personalities. It is also inappropriate for you to bring race into this. What is the difference what color the lawyer is? Listen...don't take your frustration out on other people. You got the ticket and we helped you get the exact result you wanted. Be nice...isn't that what everyone needs at this point in life?

Ive used them in 2 different occasions. One was an accident that they had downgraded and sealed so my insurance wouldn’t go up. Very professional nd polite. Would highly recommend especially since their rates are considerably less than other law offices.
