Worst experience I have ever had with a lawyer. He literally made the situation worse than it already was. I was relying on him to take care of my case but he didn't even seem to care at all and wanted to do the bare minimum, telling me to call the court and insurance company and talk to them. Seriously?? You were claiming that you been doing this 19 years and you want the client do figure it out on his own. This is your profession, if you've been doing this for almost 2 decades, you should already know the law front and back. His advertisement clearly states in capitalized letters that there will be "No insurance surcharge. So what happens? My insurance increased by $100! Not only did I have to pay over $2,000 in restitution and court fines/fees and it was enough that the police charged me with 5 tickets and threatened to give me points for a "Bicycle accident" No motor vehicle was present. I paid this lawyer almost $300 and I made it clear that it was a bicycle accident and he even agreed it was absurd but then when he amended my ticket, it went on my record as I was operating a car! so obviously when it goes back to the DMV and the insurance company they will go by what the record says. So it was clearly his fault since the tickets were in his hands and he had the ability to dismiss and amend them. On top of that when, when I spoke with him he stressed that the court would never extend my monthly payments to 1 year and that it had to be paid in 3 months. I talk to the judge and he extended my payment plan to 1 year. So not only did my lawyer lie to my face he also screwed me up driving record which I previously improved. The only thing he did was remove the points but that did not make a difference at all because it went on my record as a car and increased my insurance triple so it would just be the same as having points. He just did half the job. That is all I have to say.

I do not recommend this lawyer.

I told you not to accept that resolution. He was riding his bicycle and was in an accident and caused damages. The prosecutor offered a resolution which I thought was terrible and told the client not to take it and we should go to a trial because the charges were absurd. After numerous calls with him and his father the client said he did not want a trial and wanted to accept the resolution offered by the prosecutor. He wanted a payment plan and I got him the exact payment plan he wanted. He thereafter signs off on the plea sheet and all court documents. I then submit them to the court. I told him his insurance would raise due to this accident. Then the client calls me and says his insurance went up and it was somehow my fault. I told him that all of this would happen and he didn't want to go to a trial when I specifically told him he should. I told him not to agree to it but he did and somehow it's my fault. In spite of this, I told him I would contact the court to try to reopen the matter and relitigate it and I wasn't going to charge him because I never thought he should have taken that deal to begin with. We hung up the phone nicely. Then he goes and writes a ridiculous review. This prior client just makes bad informed decisions and blames everyone else for his problems.

Great care and concern. They always keep me posted for any updates on my traffic ticket in court via phone calls and text messages. Also, so far, they seem to proceed with the best option available to my benefit.

The Shugar Law Office is THE law office you want on your side if you ever run into traffic law problems. When I first called to inquire about their services Mr. Shugar listened to my concerns attentively and walked me through the entire process and told me what he was going and what was going to happen. He did exactly what he said he was going to do and the outcome that I was hoping for happened as he mentioned. Hopefully I don’t have any traffic law issues in the future but if I ever do I’d be retaining their representation again.

Like everyone else, I got flooded with mail from every law office after my speeding ticket. I chose Shugar Law Office based on all the positive reviews and they were all spot on. Greg answered my call and before our conversation was over I decided this was who I wanted to represent me. He guided me very clearly through the process, gave me a very fair flat price, and I didn't even have to show up in person to court. I received text updates each step of the way and emails when needed. The result was the normal fine, which I would've had to pay anyway, and ZERO points on my license. Thrilled over the result and I highly recommend Shugar Law Office. Excellent communication, easily accessible, and top notch service. Thank you!

I'm sure you will relate. This was my first ticket in NJ and I live in PA. My mail was flooded with attorney advertisement. Hard to pick one out of the bunch, so I decided to call 3 or 4. Gregory was the only one that answered the call himself and the only one that gave me clear direction on next steps. If your goal is to get points removed and have an easy out, he is your guy. All updates are online and you don't have to move a finger. It will end up costing you more than paying the tickets, but this is normal... what you don't want is points on your license as that will skyrocket your insurance. I got two tickets, he was able to get one removed and settled the other for a similar dolar amount but NO POINTS! Recommend 100%.
