SEM Power

Bought a home that had panels installed by SEM a few years prior. Recently needed to redo the roof due to insurance and it's age so needed the panels taken off and put back on after the new roof. Called a few companies in the area to compare and SEM came with the best price. My schedule is all over the place and they made the whole process extremely simple for me.

Mr. Richard Chapman is the Project Coordinator for SEM Power and is an excellent member of their professional team. I've been a customer of SEM Power since 2017 when the company did my roof array through the Broward Solar Co-op Program. More recently, in early 2021 I had to have some roof work done and SEM Power, under Richard's direction, helped again by working with the roofer to remove and reinstall the roof array.

In 2020 I participated in the Enphase Legacy Upgrade program. The work was done with another company that was part of the Legacy Upgrade Program. That contractor did not pull a permit and told me it could be done as a repair. I was always uneasy about this and contacted the company several times about doing a permit and updating the electrical drawings of my system. The owner of this other company repeatedly told me that it was a repair and I knew that was the 'deal' and that he could not help me with a permit. This issue dragged on from early 2020 to August of 2021.

When I spoke with my city's permitting department in the spring of 2021 and a person from Solar United Neighbors who was familiar with my area, it was clear that the other company wrong - that a permit was needed. I again reached out to Richard to ask if SEM Power was able to redraw the electrical diagram and get this work documented and updated with a new permit. It was a complicated process because my home already had 3 'finaled' permits for my various solar components; a ground array from 2013, a roof array done in 2017 by SEM Power and Tesla Powerwalls installed by Tesla in 2019. SEM Power agreed to help me. The permit was issued and it has been 'finaled'. My city is satisfied that my electrical diagram accurately reflects all components of my system and I now have the peace of mind that my home has been properly inspected.

This task could not have been accomplished without Richard Chapman's expertise and skill. I am so grateful to SEM Power for all the services and support that they have provided to me over these years. Solar consumers need to understand the intrinsic value of working with a reputable company such as SEM Power, and the ROI (return on investment) going forward with SEM Power providing expert and ongoing support and monitoring. this vehicle was driving on I4 near champions gate at 4:32 on sep 14. the trailer they are hauling has straps that are blowing in the wind behind the trailer. it can easily hit another vehicle.

From the time we first talked with the consultant to the time the panels were installed was roughly two months. They took care of the permits with the city and getting the approval from the HOA. The whole process was nice and easy. Every time I had a question it was answered that same day. I would highly recommend SEM Power.

The manager for the project and I did not see eye to eye on severel crucial elements. Not an overall opinion of the company but of the specific manager involved with the project.

Mr. Canale, You are not a customer of ours, please remove your review. County records which are publicly available show SEM has not installed a PV array for installation for you. Based on your other reviews, your association with a competing solar company is questioned. In a bizarre fashion, they have a large number of reviews, yet little to no permits for work. Folks, if you believe your solar company isn't being honest about their experience, you have the right to walk away.

Back in 2013 I was starting to hear more and more about Solar technology. I did some research before reaching out to Brett and his team. They made the process super easy. I was told it would take a couple months to get me on the schedule but they were at my house in a few weeks. All my panels were installed on the same day.

What really makes SEM great to work with, besides quick installations, would be there customer service. I have had a few issues with connection to tracking services and they were very quick to troubleshoot my issues and get them resolved.

I've known Bret and Deana for years and they were the only company I would have considered when deciding on a solar installer. Bret knows more about solar for commercial, enterprise and residential than anyone. He's been doing this for decades and it showed as he discussed all my options. The team at SEM Power was always responsive to my (many) questions and never made me feel like my business was not important. My system was installed in a day and a half, faster than the 2-3 days originally expected. I would recommend SEM Power to anyone who wants the very best in installer experience and customer service/support.
