Nepenthe Wellness Center

My husband had been depressed before and usually each episode lasted a miserable year. When he started with symptoms last February it was severe and I dreaded a long year of misery. Thank God we heard from a friend who had recently been treated at Nepenthe Wellness Center in Cedar Park with success. We quickly scheduled 3 sessions and almost immediately saw a positive response. Six months later he is thriving, he is alert and sharp, teaching and enjoying every bit of it. I have not seen this kind of turn around the previous times he has suffered from depression. I highly recommend a trial with Ketamine if you are depressed. I don't know of anything else out in the market that can give you the relief you need if you are depressed.

The ladies that work there are very friendly, but I did not have the experience I needed until going to another clinic. I never “left the room” during treatment at Nepenthe and I didn’t have a ketamine trained therapist to process with.

I have been going to another clinic for a few weeks now and it’s been a 180 experience. I met with one of their therapists for a few weeks before even starting ketamine itself. During a full ketamine session (2.5 hours total), I meet with my therapist for a bit, then I am given ketamine while my therapist stays in the room the entire time. I actually experience “leaving the room” while I feel I am safe. When I start to come back, I talk to my therapist for an hour or so about how I’m feeling. I also meet with her in between sessions for a full follow up.

Having someone to process with has been critical. It’s a key component to true “assisted” ketamine therapy. I would only recommend people spend the extra money and go to a ketamine clinic that offers every component that is necessary for optimal ketamine results.

Hi Jaqueline, We are sorry to see that you didn’t leave a 5-star review. Although many patients experience the “high” that ketamine can provide, some do not. Every person reacts to medication differently. Whether or not the patient feels that sensation during treatment, they are still receiving the saturation of the receptors that ketamine provides. We are very conservative with our dosing, because more is not always better. But we do have an extended protocol to help push patients towards their breakthroughs. We do also provide ketamine assisted therapy, to assist patients in setting their intentions, and help them unpack what comes up after their infusions. We hope you consider us again in future.

The team at Nepenthe are amazing. I called multiple places in Austin but no one seemed as knowledgeable and caring as them. I've had 5 infusions so far and I can honestly say they've changed my life. I've dealt with anxiety and depression most of my life and combining ketamine with therapy and intention setting has been a game changer for me. The space is beautiful and comfortable and I feel truly looked after... honestly, they treat me like family. Ketamine therapy has lifted a weight I've carried for so long and I can't thank theit team enough to take the time to understand my issues and tailor a plan focused on my outcomes.
