Literally the "Land of Kurds", with cultural and linguistic links to Greater Iran. Kurdistan covers part of eastern Turkey (Turkish Kurdistan, in modern Eastern and South Eastern Anatolia), northern Iraq (now Iraqi Kurdistan), and northwestern Iran (in modern Kurdistan Province and parts of some others).

  • AKA Kurdistan  - An archive of stories and photographs drawn from throughout Kurdistan, with maps and information about an international photo exhibition.
  • AKIN - The American Kurdish Information Network  - An organization of Kurdish Americans and recent refugees that translates and disseminates information about the Kurds; includes news, commentary, and contacts.
  • Alliance for Kurdish Rights (AKR)  - A group of students and activists campaigning for change, and on issues of Kurdish rights in the Middle East and abroad. Includes news, background, and action alerts.
  • KHRP - Kurdish Human Rights Project  - Established to protect and promote the human rights of Kurds and others in the Kurdish regions. Describes their advocacy, training, and campaigns, with current news.
  • Kurd Online  - A collection of resources about Kurdish artists, music, and handicrafts; also offers galleries of old photographs.
  • Kurdish PEN  - An association of Kurdish writers, journalists and editors; aims to support Kurdish literature and language. Includes information about membership and activities, with news alerts about writers in prison.
  • Kurdistan4all  - A categorized directory of links to sites of Kurdish interest.
