Add ReviewDr. Haig treated both wrists/thumbs for De Guervain’s tenosynovitis. One wrist needed surgery and it has been pain free since the operation. Dr. Haig is knowledgeable and personable. He has made a big difference in my being able to use my hands and to my quality of life.Report
Dr Haig has done 2 procedures, my elbow and full rotator cuff reconstruction. Both joints good as new! He is a genius! but humble and affable.Report
Front desk staff is rude, unwelcoming and very snippy. It’s almost near impossible to schedule an appointment since the line is usually “busy”. The front desk staff will automatically assume you will not show up for your appointment after they call you from a strange number in attempt to confirm the appointment 30 minutes prior to your actual appointment then leave a strange voicemail of them gossiping in the office about other patients for them to next become huffy when you show up. There was no way to tell it was them since they didn’t state what office they are from but they are sure to scold you on arrival for their missed call. The Doctor did not take time to understand my injury and dismissed/refused to view previous X-rays and my MRI despite front desk staff insisting I needed to bring all my information about my injury to review. Left the office without answers or real solutions. Disappointed in my personal experience here and with the manner that I witnessed the front desk staff treat other patients that walked into the office when I was there. According to this Doctor they only do Replacements and not Sports Medicine. I do not recommend.Report
As a former marathoner, ultramarathoner and triathlete I can say Dr. Haig is the best Orthopedic Surgeon I've had the pleasure to have operate on me. Doctor Haig totally replaced my left knee on January 18, 2018. I began walking the day of surgery, was back to work two weeks after surgery, began stationary biking March 2018 and took my first jog July of 2018. Since my initial recovery, I've biked over 2,700 miles and run, YES RUN, 850 total miles including a marathon July 2019. With added strength training, swimming and a proper diet I've had no issues, I'm still going strong and am preparing for the Yonkers Marathon on October 20. I honestly can't wait to get my right knee replaced when the time comes so i can run totally pain free. Thank you Dr. Haig.Report
Dr. Haig is the JP Morgan of orthopedics. Man of a few words, but his work is impeccable. He did a right knee arthroscopic surgery on me for a torn meniscus and 3 weeks post surgery i feel me knee stronger than ever. IDK maybe is my age ( late 20's) but my recovery is going extremely well. If Dr. Haig is in your network and you still do not choose him, you're making a colossal mistake. Montoya out.Report
So this is the guy that other docs, including orthopedists, go to see when they have a shoulder issue needing surgery. His demeanor is always positive and he makes the time needed to make you feel in control of the process.Report
His office is busy. He takes patients other docs do not (e.g., medicare) which you may not like but I see as giving back to the community. In some ways it is a throwback to old fashioned medicine; he's a one-man operation with a very willing and able support staff.
I had shoulder surgery (rotator cuff) five-plus years ago and quickly (less than one year) returned to all my activities better than pre-op. I recommend Dr. Haig to my friends and family.
Dr. Haig is a true professional at what he does. He is not afraid to roll up his sleeves and take a personal interest in his patients. He is proactive and above all extremely honest. We visited 2 other orthopedic specialists who both said my father needed a knee replacement. Within our 1st visit with Dr. Haig, he took xrays and reviewed them with us and explained that a knee replacement was not necessary and that his approach would involve a 30 minute orthoscopic procedure that would get my father walking again the very next day without the use of a walker or cane. Dr. Haig made good on his promise and we could not be happier with the results. Thank you Dr. Scott Haig !Report

Excellent surgeon. I was sure I had a knee problem, Dr. Haig knew immediately i had a back problem. Six weeks into therapy and not 100% yet, but 100% better than the day i walked through their door. The physical therapists are top notch and extremely accommodating.Report
Have had several surgeries with great success. Never had to be concerned dealing with the insurance company, the staff handled all of the issues. The staff is polite, caring and very professional. That's why there practice is so busy and you need to wait.Report
