Angela Elwell Hunt was born and raised in Winter Haven, Florida, spent a year teaching high school, and in 1983, began writing freelance. Her first book was published in 1988, and she has written more than 100 books, all with Christian themes, since that time. At Christmas time 2007, Hallmark made a movie from her novel, "The Note." She is an 8-time Angel Award for Excellence in Media winner and has been awarded numerous other awards for her writing. In 2006, she went back to school and earned a Masters of Biblical Studies in Theology, and in 2008, she completed her PhD. She is married to a Baptist minister, and they have two children. One of her dogs, a mastiff, was featured on the Regis and Kelly Show as the second largest dog in the United States.
