Geochemistry Databases

Alaska Geochemical Database

Geochemical analyses of rock, sediment, soil, mineral, and heavy mineral concentrate samples in Alaska analyzed from 1962 through 2009.

Argonne Geothermal Geochemical Database (AGGD)

Argonne has compiled and made available with permission from each source an aggregated database in an attempt to better understand the range of geochemistry that exists in geothermal systems.

The Central Andes Geochemical GPS Database

This data set documents compositional variations of magmas since Jurassic time, with a focus on the Neogene period when major Andean crustal thickening developed and its influence on magma composition was most pronounced.

Contains access to Earth Science reference data and models.

Geochemical Earth Reference Model (GERM)

This database contains summary data on the geochemistry and chemical characterization of the Earth, its major reservoirs, and the fluxes between them.

GEOROC Geochemical Database

The database GEOROC (Geochemistry of Rocks of the Oceans and Continents) is maintained by the Max Planck Institute for Chemistry in Mainz. The database is a comprehensive collection of published analyses of volcanic rocks and mantle xenoliths. It contains major and trace element concentrations, radiogenic and nonradiogenic isotope ratios as well as analytical ages for whole rocks, glasses, minerals and inclusions.

IEDA: EarthChem

Gives access to all data systems and services for geochemistry that are operated by the Integrated Earth Data Applications (IEDA) Research Group, including the Geochemical Resource Library, PetDB, NAVDAT, and SedDB.

Lamont-Doherty Earth Observatory

The Lamont-Doherty Earth Observatory seeks fundamental knowledge about the origin, evolution and future of the natural world. Its scientists study the planet from its deepest interior to the outer reaches of its atmosphere, on every continent and in every ocean, providing a rational basis for the difficult choices facing humanity. Geochemistry Database

Contains geochemical data relating to the UK landmass, organized in a relational database, which includes data from the Geochemical Baseline Survey of the Environment (G-BASE), the Mineral Reconnaissance Program (MRP) and various other BGS projects.

National Geochemical Database

Maintains and enhances the National Geochemical Database (NGDB) which consists of the original RASS and PLUTO data from the USGS labs, which are now stored in a common format under the ORACLE relational database management system.

NGDC Marine Geology Data

Compilation of information related to marine geology and geophysics.

USGS National Geochemical Survey Database

A national-scale geochemical analysis of stream sediments and soils in the US, from existing data, reanalysis of existing samples, and new samplings. The goal for sample density is one per 289 square km.
