The Scottish Terrier also known as an Aberdeen Terrier or Scottie originated in the Highlands of Scotland where they were used for hunting vermin and participated in fox hunts. The Scottish Terrier has been featured in the Black and White whiskey label and they were a favorite breed of President D Roosevelt. In 1934, the breed was recognised by the United Kennel Club.
