London-based The Script is an Irish band that rose to fame with the songs "Breakeven," "We Cry," "Science and Faith," and others that have been featured in video games and in TV programs such as Ghost Whisperer, Waterloo Road, 90210, The Hills, The Vampire Diaries, and EastEnders. The band plays pop rock, indie rock, and soul music.

The band was formed by Danny O'Donoghue and Mark Sheehan in 1996 as "Mytown" achieving moderate success in Ireland and the UK. Other members were Paul Walker and Terry Daly and the band was managed by Eamonn Maguire. The band started performing as "The Script" with only three members: Danny O'Donoghue, Mark Sheehan, and Glen Power. The Script's debut single, We Cry, was released on April 14, 2008.
