About Young Eyes

Dr. Young completed his medical training at LSU Eye Center in New Orleans, afterwards going on to become Chief Resident of University Medical Center in Lafayette, LA. He began practicing Ophthalmology in Abbeville in 1980 at the Young Eye Clinic, following in the footsteps of his father Dr. Robert J. Young Jr. In 1987, Dr. Young pioneered and founded one of the first outpatient eye surgery centers in Louisiana, the Young Eye Surgery Center. He has since performed thousands of outpatient eye surgical procedures, saving the sight of thousands of Louisiana residents. Dr. Young also function as a teaching professor in Ophthalmology at University Medical Center in Lafayette, LA.
