We contacted Georgie and Jacob for help with our 11 month old pointer. He was very boisterous and strong, pulling on the lead and with poor recall. Jacob saw him for a day, and he was noticeably better on the lead after just this first session. Our subsequent 5 sessions were varied, informative and fun - quite different to other dog training classes! Jacob doesn't make you feel judged or inadequate, which is great. Our boy is now 14months old, can still be a boisterous adolescent, but is transformed on the lead, and his recall is much better. We are carrying on with the lessons we learned, and plan to join the group sessions to keep on track. Thanks to everyone at Yorkshire Canine Academy

Got in touch with Jake when my puppy was only 9 weeks old. I wanted good solid training for my dog and Yorkshire Canine Academy definitely delivered! The team are awesome! My dog is now 1 years old and is becoming the well trained, obedient dog I've always wanted.

We got in touch with Yorkshire canine academy for help with our 1 year old Dobermann who was reactive towards other dogs.

She unfortunately lost her leg due to a dog attack as a puppy which made her nervous and frustrated while around other dogs. Going on walks would be something I would dread in case we came across dogs as she would become reactive.

Reaching out to Jacob and the team was the best decision we ever made. I once thought this is what she was going to be like forever, she was past help. But I was wrong.

We dropped Olive off for a days Kickstarter and I couldn't believe my eyes when we picked her up. She was walking beautifully on the lead and looked so much more calmer in herself.

We have a couple more sessions left and her progress so far has been amazing. Our last 1-1 session included 4/5 other dogs and she did great so we will be joining some group classes soon.

Jacob and the team have been so patient with us and helped us out with anything we struggled with. Jacob broke everything down into stages and explained exactly what he wanted us to do at home. We now have a dog who is so much happier and we couldn't be more grateful. We would recommend them in a heartbeat!

We came to Jacob at The Yorkshire Canine, with a whole host of issues with our 10 month old. He quickly identified where we were going wrong and explained how we could over come these. Our sessions throughout were informative and gave us plenty of work to continue with at home.
If we were struggling between sessions, the team were only an email away to offer advice. 4 months on and we can now go out on walks and to play in the park without this being a stressful experience. We now have the tools and knowledge to help him make the right choices. We will continue attending the group class which are a perfect setting to continue his development with guidance from the team.

Thank you all, we really couldn't of done this without you and we look forward to continuing our journey with you!

DON'T THINK ABOUT IT, JUST BOOK, YOU WILL NOT REGRET IT! All I can say is we are really grateful to have come across the YCA (Yorkshire Canine Academy). Back in July 2021, we took on a German Shepherd Cross, called Jack. He is a very sweet and affectionate boy, but he came to us with reactivity and behavioural issues towards other dogs and people. We were working with a different behaviourist at the time, but just not getting anywhere at all and we were becoming very beaten and this was really getting us down. Roll on the YCA! We came across Jacob, Georgie and the crew through a Google Search, and we have never looked back! After just a few lessons, Jack really turned a corner and we are now in a place where we can take him out and really enjoy a walk, without worrying about other dogs. The teams passion and love for helping people and their canine companions is extraordinary, we can't believe how well Jack is doing. The YCA are always on hand to give advice, discuss any worries and have even been to our house to help with guarding issues. When attending the 1-2-1s, they are structured towards your individual needs, broken down into simple steps to understand and everyone works together. We are now starting some group classes which we are really looking forward to. We can't thank the YCA enough for their help and commitment towards Jack, we are so grateful.

The standard of care , attention to detail , individual training solutions provided by Jacob , Georgia and their staff is of the highest quality. My Dachshund Fred spent 6 weeks on a residential training program . Under their expert guidance Freds obedience levels have left me completely stunned. In addition the time and effort they have put into me has been incredible. They care not only about Fred , but also me , so their expert knowledge has been passed on in order for me to continue their great work . Jonathan & Fred

I'm really glad to hear that Fred enjoyed his stay with us and we were able to help him get better behaved! We know how important it is for pets and their owners to have a great relationship. Please keep us updated on Freds progress in the future ??

100% would highly recommend Jacob and his team at YCA. If you're an owner anything like me who sits and reads up different training techniques I can guarantee Jacob will have an alternative way for you to to consider! We've had nothing but support even outside of our classes. Any issues YCA have been there to help us through without having to make us wait until our next 1-2-1 session. I spent months prior to buying our puppy researching local dog trainers and speaking to them to find out abit more information around their training techniques and I am so glad I chose out of everyone to invest my time into YCA. 5* rating from me and Lenny all day long!
