About Wurtsboro Dental - Neesha Duggal, DMD

Dr. Neesha Duggal was exposed to the field of dentistry at a very young age. She was inspired to become a dentist by her father, Dr. Paul Duggal, who has been a trusted dentist in Orange County for over 35 years. During her teenage years, she began shadowing her father and learning about the many aspects of dentistry. She particularly enjoyed the artistic details involved in perfecting someone's smile. She also felt a strong desire to help her community and ease people's dental fears.

From 1998 to 2001, she attended Adelphi University, in Garden City, NY, where she was accepted to an Accelerated 7 year Dental program. After college, Dr. Duggal went on to receive her DMD at Tufts University School of Dental Medicine, one of the nation's most prestigious dental schools located in Boston, Massachusetts. She was the youngest graduate of her class, and eager to begin the career of her dreams. From 2005 to 2006, she returned to NY to participate in a residency program where she further developed her skill as a clinician.

In the summer of 2006, she joined Wurtsboro Dental in Sullivan County. She is a member of the American Dental Association, the New York State Dental Society, and the 9th District Dental Society of New York. She attends continuing education seminars regularly to keep her up to date with new developments in the world of dentistry.

Dr. Duggal's philosophy is simple; she treats every patient as if they were family. Fears and phobias subside; all treatment is explained in detail and patients leave healthier, more relaxed and in better control of their dental health. She believes very strongly in saving teeth and preventing the 'fear' of dentists. She treats children as early as the age of 2 and provides a gentle, warm atmosphere where you are getting healthier, not ignoring a problem with your teeth!
