Add ReviewHad a great experience shopping at Williams Subaru. I worked with Lane Kauffman during the entire process. He was patient and easy to reach via phone throughout the process. I had some requirements which were to be met and he did his best to meet them.Report
Overall very satisfied!

Had a great experience buying a new Forester here, even though the dealership was about an hour away. Paul was my salesperson and was easy to work with from the start. He provided all the numbers over email ahead of time, and everything matched up exactly when I arrived, no surprises.Report
Jason in finance was also great to work with and kept things straightforward and low pressure. The whole process was smooth, professional, and respectful of my time. I’d absolutely make the drive again and would recommend this dealership without hesitation.
The service department has gotten so militant and rude. Are there budget cuts or just poor leadership? The men in the service department are unhelpful and lazy. Once, I pulled up in my Ascent at 6:05pm w a flat tire and asked if they could help me. The weather was snowy and scary. I could see 3 people through sitting in their cubicles through the service window. He walked out annoyed and said rudely” We’re Closed”. I told him the emergency. “We close at 6” and he went back inside. I had to drive back home w a flat tire in really bad weather. Another time, I asked if they could check my display when dropping off my car for a scheduled oil change. “No. You have to make another appt for this.” I asked if they could just checks “we won’t have time. You need to make another appt.” It’s the lack of caring and militant approach to everything.Report
Always told in the 4.5 yrs I've owned my Subaru that you don't "schedule" oil change appts- have to use their Express Service- just come by. Then when I needed an oil change in early December 2025- Express service wasn't available unless the owner was willing to wait Several hours- and was told I now needed to SCHEDULE an oil change! And the next oil change appt was 6 WEEKS away!Report
Really Williams Subaru?! I/your customers have to wait 6 Weeks to get an oil change? Completely Unacceptable. You are just sending business to other Oil change businesses and other mechanics. Really poor business model, and super poor customer service. I love my Subaru, but at this point I wouldn't buy another from your dealership.
Treated exceptionally poorly by service specialist Leandro today. Condescending and "winking"- not sexually, (although other women might perceive it that way) but as in he's giving me some bs secret information that's not secret. I don't appreciate that nor being talked down to.
Then my scheduled 10:30 am Tomorrow morning appointment I have a printout of- Suddenly became an 8:30 am appt without my knowledge because I decided to get my tires elsewhere. I got an email vs phone call. Then I called Leandro. Suddenly he was trying to tell me the appt time changed for bs reasons and then suddenly couldn't just do my oil change at 10:30 am- tho he'd winked and told me in person- just let him know if I wasnt going to get the tires there.
I am very supportive and loyal to people and businesses who operate with personal integrity. I'm very disappointed in your dealership. At this point, I will give my money elsewhere in the future. I'm most disappointed to have to make that choice. But we all have to make choices. You made yours Williams Subaru.
unsure if these other reviewers are talking about the same dealer. my sales experience was fairly limited, manager did not want to talk negotiation period. If I had a dollar for each time I heard reliability to justify a missing feature compared to the toyota rav4 or honda crv, i could at least afford lunch in okemos.Report
This place recruited dismissive and indifferent staffs. They often ignore customers. They are not professional enough for regular car service, which directly causes the damage to our car and we have to drive to Detroit to have a car service again. When selling a car to them, the price they offered is usually much lower than the general market price, and they don’t want to negotiate. Comparing the car shops in Lansing, I recommend people to visit other shops, not this one.Report
I had a wonderful experience at Williams Subaru! Brian Thompson was our salesman and he was great from beginning to end. I called him on Saturday morning and let him know that I was looking for a specific car on their website and I was there within an hour and a half and he already had it pulled up ready for me to test drive. That same day he was able to get everything done for me and I was able to drive it home same day and even traded in my old vehicle! He was so kind throughout the whole process - everyone at Williams Subaru was super nice and helpful! I am so excited for my new Ascent - thank you Brian!Report
