What a Life Tours

Our family had a wonderful experience on the Vatican and Sistine Chapel tour with Elaine. We have four kids (10 through three). We were a little concerned about whether their attention would hold. Elaine did a great job of including them in her story telling and explanations, but also speaking to the other adults in the group. She was very entertaining and knowledgeable. The kids learned a lot and so did my husband and I, who are both history majors. It was wonderful having someone on hand who could answer questions about every thing you saw.

We did a very interesting tour thru the Vatican, organised by What a life tours in Rome. Our guide Simon knows very much about art, history and archeology. He was telling us a lot in very good English. And he is also a very nice man. We recommend this company.

We have used "What a Life Tours" a number of times for both the Vatican Early Access Tour and the Colosseum, Forum, Palatine tour. Each one has been excellent and well worth the money. They have an "above and beyond" attitude as on our last tour, Joseph checked to make sure the Borghese Gallery would accept our CDC card even though it was not their tour. And don't get me started about the warm chocolate croissants and cappuccinos they offer before the early Vatican tour.

Anna was an amazing guide! She was so fun and her passion for art history really brought the whole experience to life. Her explanation of the fresco painting process was worth the whole tour. Ask for Anna and tip her generously (trust me...you'll see how much she deserves it)! Oh yeah...skip the line is fantastic!

My family and I did the Complete Early Morning Vatican Tour with Breakfast in the Office and it was fantastic! The best tour we took in Italy!

Our guide, Matteo, was extremely knowledgeable and very outgoing. He explained hundreds of interesting facts about the Vatican, St. Peter's Basilica and Square, and the Sistine Chapel and answered all of our questions. The tour was very long (3 1/2 hours) but well worth every minute.

This is a tour not to be missed while you're in Rome. We enjoyed it so much we are planning to get it as a gift for our daughter who is studying in Rome this Spring. Wonderful!
