We bought an Ioniq 6 at Walser Hyundai Brooklyn Park in mid-2023. The sales experience was good. The sales team was friendly, knowledgeable and professional.

The Ioniq 6 is an otherwise impressive vehicle with an unfortunate engineering vulnerability. A key part is prone to failure and leaves you stranded when it goes. Even after two safety recalls, this particular part in our Ioniq 6 failed anyway. We had to have the car towed to Walser - and there it sits. They tell us the replacement part is on back order with no ETA.

In dealing with this issue, Walser’s service could not have been any worse. Our “service advisor” is a nice guy who seems overwhelmed by his work load and knows nothing about the car. I asked to speak with the service manager, leaving a message at 10am on Wednesday asking for a call back. As of 8am Friday I have not heard from him. Everything I think know about the problem I’ve learned on the internet (search “Ioniq ICCU failure.”)

Bottom line – I would not recommend purchasing an Ioniq until Hyundai solves the ICCU problem, and I most definitely would not take your vehicle to Walser Hyundai Brooklyn Park for service.

Funny how these people treat you after they find out the color of your skin. After going to only 2 dealers looking for a vehicle we found one at this..dealer.. I'm handicapped so we did an online app and once our driver licenses were added to the app the happy to help you turned into no response and after a day of waiting and calling and texting Joshua told us we'll you need 4k down otherwise we can do any business with you.
Another reputable dealer at the same time reaches out after recieveing our same app and info says no problem bring in 500 down and get your vehicle same.year same miles as the car at bp Hyundai. The difference the reputable dealer didn't look at our color and make a determination of worth. Thanks Kaleb in finance and Joshua in sales for a bad experience. We will never recommend anyone visit your dealer. I didn't need to call your dealer but after initially thinking this could be a good fit for our needs we called. Unfortunately we I now how you treat people you think are not worthy. I wish you would have just said the car is sold rather than blatantly discriminate like you did.

Just purchased a 2025 Hyundai Tuscon Hybrid and the car purchase experience went very well. Thomas Robinson, Customer Specialist, found me in the lot and the whole experience went extremely well. He got me in the right model for my needs and was very knowledgeable on the vehicle we ended up purchasing. He was very good at laying out the different options of purchase versus lease and other team members of the dealership were also cordial and helpful.

Terrible service this last time.
I've been here before and the experience was fine.
I was hopeful when service got me in same day for an engine knock in my Sonata. They submitted a warranty claim and said to give it a few days.
I started calling after a few days...and calling...and calling. For 5 days.
5 days of calling and leaving voicemails and no one from service could take a 5 minute phone call to tell me if my car will get fixed.
When they did call and tell me the warranty claim was denied, I asked for a quote for a new engine. I was told they'd get the quote and get back to me.
They didn't.
I ended up showing up to pick up the car and again they offered no options or quotes - just informed me of the problem with the engine and the risks of driving it.

I wish they'd just tell you if they don't want the work. In the end I paid $200 for them to store my car for 3 weeks.

Rhett Dressel was very patient while sharing his knowledge with us in an easy to understand manner.

He helped me set up the driver's seat position and made other settings for me - very much appreciated. Left us feeling comfortable to come back with any questions we may have.
