Awesome buying experience! Marc from Sales was friendly, and my favorite part- there was NO hard sales. It was a pleasant car buying experience and when I took possession of my vehicle it was incredible! The pride they took in detailing it was like nothing I have experienced.

Great experience buying my Durango at Vatland! Marc was very personable and professional!

***Customer BEWARE***

***Jan 10, 2024 update. Received a call back from the service advisor. It is confirmed that it takes about 8 technician hours to take down the engine. This has taken 10 weeks and still is not completed. That is less than 1 h per week. She also informed us that our expectations are too high. That this is the way this business works. She told me that I am being condescending as has my husband. I do not think stating the facts about how long my truck has been in the shop is condescending. She told me our truck is the lowest on their priority because we have been harping on them to finish the job. She also confirmed that the responses to this review from Vatland are untrue. Please Vatland if we are so annoying finish the job. Help us confirm the extended warranty coverage, and we will be out of your hair forever. I promise.

***Update Jan 5, 2024. Still no call from Vatland. Still no appropriate review response.

***Update Jan 9, 2024. We gave the service records in September. Those were submitted to Dodge. You can submit the same to the extended warranty. We’ve called twice this week with no call back. Please call us back.

Dec 30, 2023. Beware if you need any complicated service here. Our Ram1500 eco diesel has been in their service department since July 15, 2023 when it suddenly broke down on the turnpike due to the fuel pump/injector malfunction and metal getting into the fuel. While some of this time is expected for the time it takes for parts to arrive and discussing with Dodge about recalls and warranty, that accounts for no more than 2 months, if I'm being generous.
My major complaint is their service department scheduling. They are booked out about 2 weeks for service time slots. While you would expect to wait 2 weeks at first, I have been astounded that we have to wait 2 more weeks after any new part arrives, after we or Dodge gave their ok for the next step, or just because the repair took longer than our booked time slot. While this is the most efficient way for them to keep their service department fully booked it puts the customer as the lowest priority. When they expect a part to arrive in 7 days, why not book us a service slot it 10 days? Why wait for the part to arrive to then book us 2 weeks out? Case in point, we authorized them on October 25, 2023 to take down out engine to determine the cause of why it wasn't working as per the extended warranty request. As of our last conversation, this still hadn't been completed and it is now Dec 30, 2023. How many tech hours does that take? 8, 16, 20? So after 4 months of us being without a vehicle they are working on our truck for an average of 1-3 hours per week.
My second major complain is when Dodge refused to replace our engine after it would not start once the fuel pump and injector were replaced, Vatland refused to provide us with a written report of why. They stated it was all telephone conversations. I understand that, but a written report and summary of the telephone conversations is not an unreasonable request.

While the majority of the staff has been kind and courteous (especially Cass), I would take efficiency and going to bat for us over superficial curtesy.

Our only HOPE now is that Vatland will FINALLY do what is right, finish taking down our engine and actually be on our side when discussing with the extended warranty so we can get the new engine paid for.

So, if you are considering being a customer of Vatland, think long and hard to bring your vehicle in for anything more than routine maintenance or you may be without a vehicle for months instead of weeks. I would drive the extra 20 mi to the next closest Dodge/Jeep. Or if you are in the market for a new vehicle, strongly consider another manufacturer with a local service department that truly puts customers first. Vatland you can do better.

We got a beautiful 2024, red, 2 door Jeep Wrangler! It took a long time to get it due to the strike but was worth the wait??
