TRYP by Wyndham New York City Times Square South

This is the trashiest motel ive ever stayed in. Just...weird. sketchy. Disorganized. Rooms outdated in need of repair work. Smell of cigarettes in the rooms. free Breakfast was DISGUSTING and inedible. They accosted me acting like I snuck into the breakfast as well. Then roomservice just barged into our rooms at one point thinking we checked out....which is something front desk would have communicated....if it was at motel prices sure. But for what they are charging? Go anywere else. Just an overall uncomfortable and weird experience

TV reception is terrible. Amenities claim it has high quality cable. There is no way it has cable. For almost $300 a night, TV should be clear. It was clean. Front desk clerk was ok. Bartender/waiter was very nice. Have to get a high room, of course, or all you see is a parking garage. But at least the garage entrance is across the street from the hotel entrance.

La habitación premiun tenía muy buen tamaño. Pero la calefacción se avería al 2do día y el conserje nos quería dar una habitación que era la mitad de tamaño. No quisimos y nos pusieron un radiador para calentarla. Lamentablemente pague casi 500 dolares la noche y no guarda relación con la calidad del hotel.

Most awfull place I've ever stayed at in myc... never again will I spend my money here ... awfull service... first it was kind of high in price but to top it off I put please do not disturb sign the on door as we went out for the day ... so first they disregarded that and still went in...not only do I have things missing but sense I called and complained about the entry so they charged me another 300 ...saying that I was smoking in the room and said there was nothing they could do..Sundays there are no managers or anyone In Charge to accommodate me as a customer ..Its unreal that you can't even make an honest living doing the right thing with companies like this

I just returned from a one night stay at the Tryp Wyndham location at 345 West 35th Street. The room was spacious but that was the only pleasantry of this trip. The boiler broke down unbeknownst to us and we spent the entire night in our room freezing under 4 blankets. We were not notified about any heating issues by the front desk attendee Robert upon check in. Had we been informed that there was a heating issue, we would have cancelled our reservation. We called the front desk multiple times and were hung up on. Finally, my partner went down to the front desk to report the issue and was informed the boiler was broken and there was no heat in the entire hotel on a night where it was 30 degrees Fahrenheit outside!

It is grossly unacceptable to not inform patrons of heating issues. To make matters worse we were only offered more blankets and told there was nothing that could be done. It was hard to move around the room and walk on the floors because it was so cold. Taking a shower in the ice cold bathroom was painful and agonizing. My partner suffers from asthma and had his asthma triggered by the unrelenting cold that was in our room. It’s unfathomable to hear that there is no maintenance staff available onsite to fix issues so dire.

I emailed the manager and have not heard a word back! Totally unacceptable and will never stay at this hotel again!

Room was comfortable, clean, good location. The hotel is horribly under staffed 45/50 min check in, attempted to buy a coffee prior to check out and was unable to do. There appears to be only 1 person working. Management is not onsite.

The TV was terrible. Kept cutting in and out and the lights and TV would turn on and off at different times on their own. The towels and washcloths were also stained.

On the plus side, the view was nice and the location is unbeatable for Midtown.

Next door to a police station. Constant sirens at all hours. Poor location. Room doors slam, room chairs rattle the entire floor. Noisy.
