Experience Matters:



Implemented client initial continuous controls monitoring (CCM) processes, which led to a reduction in total man-hours and related travel expenses for the 2009 fiscal year;



Designed and created related CCM IT security policies and procedures, developed and monitored key CCM activities, and reviewed and reported CCM results to senior and C-level management in order to increase efficiencies while maintaining effectiveness;



Led annual company and IT Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) assessment process, identified key Corporate and IT risks, likelihood of occurrence, and mitigating factors to allow proper classification and prioritization based on current standards around governance, risk and compliance (GRC);



Conducted IT audits and special projects (including reviews, assessments SOX Section 404 requirements), which included the following activities:



Planning to determine the objectives, scope, timing, and resources for IT engagements; Evaluating engagement proposals and selection of appropriate internal and third-party resources; Preparing deliverables, work papers, recommendations for remediation, and interim status reports for accuracy, completeness and cohesion to allow reliance on IT internal controls; Assessing process documentation and related key IT controls for accuracy and completeness; Presentation of audit reports for VP level review; and Monitoring of remediation efforts to ensure compliance and closure.



Planned and executed annual risk assessments for the company's 12 locations across 8 states in order to develop a comprehensive, flexible and risk-based audit plan;



Assisted in the creation of audit schedules to allow proper allocation of resources across multiple states and timezones;



Developed and maintained written policies, procedures and training to guide internal staff resources.



Tax / Resource Strategies (TRS) has been involved in other project management activities. Past project responsibilities include:



IT audit management, IT and business process risk assessment, design and implementation of internal IT controls, and guidance / training development for co-workers and clients;



Planning and executing multiple engagements, including a two-year project for an international manufacturing company with operations across seven European countries and nine US states;



Management and selection of team resources and personnel (usually consisting of four to twelve individuals) and have provided guidance and education in order to meet stated goals in a timely manner within budget;



Reporting of findings and recommendations to senior management on a recurring basis and monitoring of information technology changes for accuracy and completeness.
