WORTH THE DRIVE

We drove from Waterloo/CF because we instantly felt respected and in good hands working with Dave via phone and email. He was knowledgeable, kind and very straightforward with both myself and my husband.

We purchased a custom Jeep and were thrilled to get almost weekly updates with vin assignment, birth date, paint booth and more. The Jeep was completed on the lower end of the timeline and thrilled is. When the Jeep arrived Dave was through and took some great pictures of it on the truck and a walk around video with all the plastic on the inside (talk about memorial experience). We set up a pick up time and we pulled into the lot with our new vehicle sitting front and center with a personalized hand made sold tag with our names. Everything was prepared and Dave personally walked us through all the details, buttons, tips and tricks. All the paperwork was quick and simple.

Ryan in financing was super nice, speedy and worked magic!

They were amazing to work with, super easy going, not pushy, no nonsense involved and were there for every question I had. I felt super comfortable and they made the process so easy for me. I contacted Thys knowing that I had a water pump needing replaced before my family went out of state tomorrow. Josh was awesome in parts locating a water pump for me to get the job done Jessie and Savanah did an amazing job of fitting me into a tight schedule. If I could give 10 stars I would. Check these guys out!

My family needed a second family vehicle. Checking on Autotraders website, I found a great deal on a used vehicle priced fair, with great pictures detailing the car. I contacted Thys online, and they got back to me within half an hour. I live in Cedar Rapids, and the dealership location was in Belle Plaine. I made arrangements to test drive and inspect the vehicle the same day. I let Josh, the salesperson, know that I had to discuss the vehicle with my wife before committing. He contacted me the following afternoon to follow up on my family's decision. We decided to purchase the vehicle, and made a small deposit over the phone, and made arrangements to pick the car up on the weekend. All my questions were answered in a timely fashion, there was no upselling of packages or warranties or any other time wasting things. On arrival to pay for and pick up the vehicle, my family was there ten minutes. It was not a rushed 'get out of our store' 10 minutes, it was a respectful pleasant purchase.

This is the second used vehicle that I have purchased from Thys, and both times have been amazing. It is well worth the time to drive a little ways out of town for the speed and quality of service, and my total time between the two trips for this vehicle, including travel, was less than the time I've had wasted by bigger dealerships in Cedar Rapids or Iowa City. Thanks again Thys!

Edit: I have updated this from a 5 to a 2 star review. My temporary tags had expired. Two attempts at getting information from the dealership resulted in nothing. The third attempt was just a message stating that the county Treasurer had not cashed the check. Independently I contacted the Treasurer and was told that paperwork was not filed properly and had been sent back to the dealership two times with no response. Bringing that information back to the dealership I still received no communication from them. After a few days, the sales rep only sent me a text message. "linn County finally cashed your check today". With a thumbs up emoji as a reply for me saying thanks. The sales experience was fantastic. Following through on their paperwork side after the fact, I am extremely dissatisfied.

Purchasing a truck from Thy's has been one of the better experiences I've had purchasing any type of vehicle. I had gone in to test drive a Ram 1500 on a saturday and they were pretty busy for the amount of staff they had. Dave Koch was my salesman and he was running around helping everyone he could with a smile on his face and delivering the best customer service.

What blew me away the most was the GM, Mike. The truck I was interested in had a bad stabilizer bar that needed to be replaced. Because Thy's doesn't normally have their techs in on a Saturday, Mike (with an auto technician background) replaced the part himself and had it completed before I had all the sales paperwork done! I've never seen a GM willing to get his hands dirty to help out a customer like that. 5-stars to the Thy's auto team!
