Add ReviewI just purchsed a preowned Rav4 from Thompson Toyota. What a great experience from everyone I interacted with. JQ was our sales guy. He was welcoming from the start, friendly, hospitable and respectful. I've purchased many cars in my time and this was the first time I felt zero pressure. His focus was ensuring we had the best experience and that we get the right car. Julian was the sales manager- great guy! The first well rounded dealership I've ever experienced. I will be returning for any further automotible purchases. Well done team!Report
Service desk people are very pleasant to deal with. I don't normally feel like they ripped me off. They matched a different Toyota dealers coupons so that saved me some money. Nice waiting area. I miss the free cookies they used to have . My only complaint was the car wash and vacuum was pretty poor. But it's free so guess I can't really complain.Report
Would rate my experience as a 4 1/4 Stars.
I’m sorry to say that my car purchasing experience did not go as well I hoped in comparison to my last purchase from Thompson. I purchased the vehicle, not financed, so when the salesman handed me off to the “finance guy” there were only the “optional products and services” to go over. The extended warranty was the only one of about five or six I was interested in, unfortunately the price was outside of my budget. After some work and phone calls I managed to put together a counter offer (2k+), but it was rejected within a few hundred dollars of his best offer. It was disappointing, but nothing compared to what came next. I began the signing of documents, and eventually got to “vehicle buyer’s order” where everything is itemized, including final negotiated price, only it was not the price I negotiated, but thousands of dollars more. After some insistence I was told it was just a mistake, and suddenly the correct version appeared. Anyone can make a mistake. Eventually an “optional products and services” form was presented for my signature, with the same warranty and “best offer” price listed I was earlier told was off the table, because I could not afford it. It was a contract for the purchase of a product I was no longer considering, because I didn’t have the money. I questioned it and was simply told “don’t worry it’s nothing, it just shows my boss that I’m doing my job!” But that’s not what language on the contract said at all. I gave the man multiple opportunities to rationalize his position, but he only repeatedly chose to die on that ridiculous hill and attempt to gaslight me. I was told a signature was required but I refused to sign it. When it became apparent I was about to walk out on the deal I was asked if I “would be more comfortable” if he just removed the warranty information, effectively having me sign a blank contract. I eventually got through this ordeal but it was not a pleasant experience. I must say that the salesman Brian was professional and went above and beyond to help me, I got a fair deal with him and he did well in representing his organization, unlike the financial representative. I’m not sure if I will ever deal here again. So disappointed.Report
Brought my car in for 5000 routine service. Opted to wait rather than a drop off for the day. Told the service person I was going across to the shopping center rather than sit at the service area. Never heard from them and almost 2 hours later went back to inquire when it would be done. They said they'd get the paperwork and let me know. My husband was with me and he took his car and drove back home thinking it would only be a few minutes. 20 minutes later, not hearing anything, I inquired and they told me to see the ExpressTech. I told him I had an appointment in Warminster at 1:00 and asked if it would be done in the next few minutes. After being told "no" I had to call my husband to come back to the dealership and pick me up so we could get to the appointment. I got the call 10 minutes later it was done and after my other appointment had to be driven back to the dealership. I didn't think waiting for a 5000 routine maintenance visit should take 2 1/2 hours.Report
JQ was amazing. I hate buying cars and he had a 5% chance of helping me. He was so sincere and treated me like family. He went out of his way to make sure this was the right fit for me and my family. Another reviewer said negative comments which were absolutely unwarranted. At a time when kindness is no longer respected this young man did everything to make this an amazing experience. Thanks to everyone here including the GM and Nick who just added to this experience. If you want a Toyota ask for JQReport

Sale reps was very shady. Definitely did get the vide they wanted my business. The guy helping me came off as if I could afford a car. So I didn’t get one there. Mind you could just buy the car flat out.a since he thought I was broke or my wife has the money I just didn’t buy there and went to find what I wanted with better service. Idk if it’s cause I’m black cause the sales rep was black to. He treated me as if I couldn’t afford anything. It’s all good just my experience.Report
