Absolutely terrible! One of the biggest messes I've ever seen. Can't mess a closing up any worse then what happened! Awful firm. I give a negative 5!

Christopher - I am saddened by your review. While this closing was not ideal, in the end, we protected our client. I welcome a discussion with you, and I apologize for any angst this caused you. The client and I have been in contact. I would not leave a similar review for you, should the circumstances be reversed. I am taken aback by this. - Brent

I closed on my house in September of last year. The whole team at Suttles law firm was great from the start of the process to the day I signed the papers.Thank you all for helping in the process of buying my forever home.

Closed on our lakefront property in August 2020. We used Suttles because they were covered by our legal plan, we won't make that mistake again. There were issues back in August (like not paying off the buyers loan in a timely manner), but those pale in comparison to the giant screwup that we discovered in April 2021. When trying to build a dock on our property, it was discovered that the land lease required for all lakefront property had not been filed with Santee Cooper. The reason it wasn't filed is because it was never turned in. When I called the law firm to address this, The impression I got was that they really didn't care. There was no urgency behind the situation. There was one paralegal, Faloma (i believe), Who seemed to share my frustration. However the attorney did not seem to care less. After waiting several weeks for them to remedy the situation… I reached out to the sellers attorney, got the documentation I needed, and sent the paperwork myself. Completely unacceptable service and clearly had very little knowledge when it came to the details of purchasing lake front property. I cannot stress enough how unprofessional this experience was. My only hope is that perhaps Mr. Suttles has learned some thing about dealing with waterfront property. And perhaps the next buyers will avoid this level of frustration.

I was very nervous and apprehensive about the closing on my house. I was pleasantly surprised to find that the whole process was great! Mr Suttles was helpful with all my questions and with his dry sense of humor put me immediately at ease.
I would recommend this law firm to everyone, they were kind professional and knowledgeable.

Would recommend. Very responsive and helped settle my seller's nerves about closing and the process. Took the time to explain all documents and answered all questions. Plus who doesn't like a closing attorney with a sense of humor. Very pleasant experience. Will use again.

We had the same poor experience as others have mentioned. We reached out 3.5 weeks before closing, agreed to move forward and it took 10 days before anyone reached back out to us with next steps. Everyone was unresponsive, there was no sense of urgency, no follow-up-we had to chase the owner and paralegal down. Received emails with wrong names and property. On the morning of closing... they were behind schedule and moving slow... We signed papers left w/o keys.. came back... they weren't ready to give keys or paperwork.. hours later we finally got keys at 5:00. As a buyer.... I do not recommend this company.

If I have correctly pinpointed the closing you have referred to, the paralegal that handled your file is no longer with my office. Every client's closing is urgent and personal to me. The positive reviews that we have are earned and from actual clients - not necessarily business partners. While I am truly disheartened by your experience, the goodwill that I and so many have worked tirelessly to generate is authentic and genuine - not "generic..." and from "business partners."
