Welcome to The Stove Shop!

If you couldn't guess from our name, we're experienced purveyors of all things related to stoves, and we certainly know our way around a fireplace, too! We'd like to tell you about our unique Phoenixville-based shop, and the best way to do so is with a brief history lesson.

Ted Ryan opened The Stove Shop in 1977 (in an old dairy barn, nonetheless). He wanted to help local families stay warm, and he wanted them to be able to do so without burning through too much cash. His son Bill happily joined him on his mission to sell affordable and efficient wood-burning stoves the year after our doors opened. Since then, the business has grown from successfully heating homes in and around Phoenixville to servicing Chester County to, ultimately, being the exclusive dealer of Vermont Castings stoves and fireplace inserts in Pennsylvania, New Jersey, and Delaware.
