For a high end hotel, the rooms were old, not well maintained, and very underwhelming. We were super disappointed when we got into our room. It was mediocre at best. It looks like what you would expect at one of the lower end Marriott properties, but not a Ritz.Report
The shower is super small, the toilet is very low to the ground and uncomfortable. The bathtub was dirty, the towels were small, thin and not soft at all. The wallpaper also has stains in a number of places.
The lobby of the hotel is nice and the location is good. There are two wings in the hotel and our room was in the West, so I don't know if this is an older part of the hotel or not, but it could use major renovations for us to want to come back again.

Amazing service! Had breakfast at the restaurant, absolutely loved the waffles! Front desk let my child pick out a small stuffed animal as a gift (not sure if it's a holiday thing or if they offer that year round). Everything and everyone was wonderful.Report

My wife and I had our wedding at the Ritz in their Fahrenheit Ballroom, and what a beautiful night it was! We had ~60 guests and that is about the most people I'd personally recommend for the ballroom. Liliana Klein is the person to talk to when you want to plan a wedding there and she's such a pleasure to work with. She walked us through everything from day 1. The food was excellent, the preferred vendors were also a joy to work with. Seriously, I've never experienced better service at a hotel. If you're considering having your wedding here, do it! If you're coming here for a night or two, or just to enjoy some dinner and cocktails, you also won't regret it. We'll be back!Report
Situated off a private street between historic Wisconsin Avenue and K Street, the Ritz-Carlton Washington DC offers an imaginative blend of contemporary design of historic influence, backspace. I boutique hotels guestrooms and suites reflect that setting in the affluent Georgetown neighborhood.
Our eighty-six room luxury hotel offers twenty-nine premier suites and five luxury suites, all of which include stunning views of the Potomac River and historic Georgetown. The unique architecture of our structure is allowing the fact that it is housed in a restored turn-of-the-century brick factory, the echo of which can still be seen in the sizzling lobby wood fireplace with its towering 130 foot smokestack reflective of the 1930s waterfront industry.
The guestroom features and amenities are what you would expect from a hotel bearing the name The Ritz, which is to say they offer the best of both worlds, with historic architecture accented by contemporary appointments. The service too reflects what you would expect when visiting an establishment whose name has become synonymous with elegance and grandeur. For your next trip to DC, plan to stay in style and comfort… Book your stay at the Ritz-Carlton Georgetown.
