The National Old City Apartments

Loved my short term lease here. The location in Old City is close to a lot of restaurants and just a brief walk to center city. Building is new and clean. Management is really nice and quick to respond. I would have loved to stay longer if I was staying in Philly longer.

I really enjoyed my three years living at The National and would recommend it to anyone looking for an apartment in Old City. The staff, from the concierge to the management team to the maintenance crew, are some of the nicest people and very responsive to questions, feedback, and requests. I particularly enjoyed the sense of community within the building, especially the events such as happy hours, pet meet-ups, and yoga on the rooftop. And the building itself is in an amazing location, is very clean and well-maintained, and has plenty of great amenities. If you're looking for a place in Old City, definitely check out The National!

Amazing apartments and equally amazing team! You've probably seen from other reviews how awesome Mike is, and it's 100% accurate. He's always been super helpful and friendly since day 1! The entire team also did a great job of handling COVID precautions as well, felt super safe when I moved in early in the year and throughout the pandemic.

Being that I moved in while COVID was still on the up tick, I haven't spent too much time using the amenities/common spaces. The spaces are really nice though and seems to be well maintained. There's a ton of local art that is hung on all the walls and regularly rotated, which I'm a big fan of. While not huge, the roof deck is also a nice spot to chill and has an amazing view of the Ben Franklin Bridge.

The apartment complex location itself really doesn't get much better. It's literally situated right next to Elfreth's Alley and even better yet it's only a few blocks from a bunch of great food locations - living so close to spots like ICI Macarons and The Angelo Pizza have been a challenge for the wallet and diet :).

I toured this apartment complex with Mike Fallon. Although I ultimately changed my plans, the level of service I experienced was top notch and the amenities with this building are excellent. I really think you can't go wrong with this apartment complex if you're looking for something in Old City.

My husband and I have moved several times over the past 15 years and the National Old City was easily our favorite building! We only left because we purchased a home. The location makes it easily accessible to several other great Philadelphia neighborhoods (and we love Old City too!). We've always felt safe and secure at The National with 24 hour front desk security and an easy to use keyless entry. The staff at the front desk are friendly and helpful, the custodians and repair team are thorough and responsive, and the building managers go above and beyond to make you feel at home. They sincerely care about everyone's well-being and any issues, which are rare, are quickly handled. I would definitely recommend this building if you have a dog as well. It's near walking distance to many dog parks and the building even has an industrial sized dog bath so you can bathe your pet without getting your bathroom messy! The common space and roof desk are also very spacious, each with kitchens to store drinks and cook. Once COVID ends, they would be excellent places to host a small party. The common area and roof deck are also great places to "work from home". I think this would be a nice place to live if you're looking to meet others, regardless of your age. Before the pandemic, the building hosted events that helped us get to know our neighbors and the management. We will miss this building and the wonderful staff who welcomed us to Philadelphia!

Fantastic apartment complex. I've lived in many apartment complexes over the course of my education/training and this is by far the best. Apartment building is always clean. The leasing staff along with concierges and cleaning people are all incredibly friendly. Very pet friendly as well; the leasing staff know my dog by name and always eager to give him a treat. Rent is priced fairly. Package delivery is so convenient through an automated drop-box service in house. I can't recommend this place enough!

I moved here beginning of August and so far my experience has been nothing short of amazing!

I have a Pitbull mix breed which is typically a banned breed for this building, but the management staff was kind enough to take my word for it (during covid) that he was a friendly/good dog and allowed me to have him.

Mike in the management office caught that I hadn't been credited 500 on move in like I was supposed to, and applied it to my account several months after the fact. I appreciate this a lot because many sleazy landlord and property managers would have just done nothing if the tenant didn't catch the mistake.

The property is always clean, everyone who works here is very friendly. People (staff & residents) are respectful of covid by wearing masks and maintaining distance. There is a valet service who collects garbage daily, and you can leave packages downstairs to send out with UPS, Fedex, and USPS. All packages are delivered to you through the efficient Amazon Locker service.

The area around the building is lovely- mostly families, cute dogs, and small business owners and their shops. I love the proximity to two dog parks, race st pier, and the river.

Really happy with my decision to move here!

The National is everything and more! My partner and I are so happy to be residents here! Our leasing agent, Mike Fallon, is the best of the best! He has been so helpful and welcoming throughout the whole process. He answered all of our questions and was super responsive 24/7. The building and our apartment are absolutely beautiful! Living here is a dream fulfilled!

There is no place like The National. It is an amazing location for those who are just moving to the area who want to experience Philly and its rich history as well as enjoy everything Old City has to offer. The units are huge, they have a great view, and the amenities are truly worth it if you enjoy entertaining. I would commute in and out of center city for work and the 2nd/Market subway stop is about 3 blocks away. The restaurants around town are delicious, and being close to the bridge is great for runs with a view. To top it off, the staff in the building are respectful and always willing to help.
