More About The Law Offices of James A. Ward

Mr. Ward counsels a wide range of clients across the estate planning spectrum, specializing in wills and trusts for families of all ages, Medi-Cal planning and asset protection for clients in their more advanced years, and probate and trust administration. With the constant changes in the tax laws and Medi-Cal rules, Mr. Ward is a big proponent of continuing legal education classes to keep up to date on rule changes, new case law as cases are decided by the courts, and new legal solutions developed by attorneys to provide clients with the best solutions to meet their own particular needs.
This is an extremely personal area of the law. Each person and each family has their own story, issues, values, and wishes for their family and intended beneficiaries. Planning for financial management and health care during incapacity varies from person to person. We respect that and counsel people on how we can help them achieve their goals for themselves and for their heirs in the best possible manner. Mr. Ward takes the time to know each client personally and develop an understanding of their wishes.
Mr. Ward practices Elder Law, but since many of our elder clients face hurdles besides the legal issues, he also became a Certified Senior Advisor (CSA) to better understand many of those other issues. This additional certification has given him further insight into many of the issues that seniors face beyond what elder law encompasses. His clients appreciate the difference that this can make. Because elder law is a relatively new and specialized area of law, most estate planning attorneys who do not practice elder law will recognize it as a specialty and refer those cases to attorneys who are familiar with the special issues of elder law. As a result, Mr. Ward receives many referrals from estate planning attorneys who are not familiar with elder law and therefore cannot properly handle these cases. Mr. Ward looks forward to sharing his wealth of experience with you and helping you find appropriate solutions. Please contact us at any time with questions.
