America�s oldest inn, the original structure (circa 1678) was destroyed by fire in 2011 and has been meticulously reimagined as a new 60-room boutique hotel � one that echoes the legacy of three centuries of gracious hospitality while featuring modern amenities and world class service. America�s oldest inn, The Old Groton Inn began as a single structure built in 1678. During the Revolutionary War, its tavern served as a gathering place for the �Minute Men� to meet and strategize. In fact, the Inn once served as a meeting place of St Paul�s Masonic Lodge, of which Paul Revere was the Grand Master. In 1967, having fallen into disrepair, it was purchased by long-time residents of the town who revitalized the property and registered the Inn with the National Register for Historic Places.
