The Discovery House

Not worth the 100,000 $ they charge. The classes are not real deal if you go for 30 days mostly likely you'll relapse. After I found out the cost when I tried leaving they basically use information they learned for example once I said I didn't wanna stay the full time staff members would say you gonna die if you don't stay and for 30 days or more just another scandal for money .

Upon arriving at the Discovery House i was greeted by extremely friendly staff. I had just slept in a park and was nervous about coming to treatment. The staff made sure that i felt welcome and secure. During my stay I had a safe and sober environment to recover. Groups were offered daily as well as outings with all my peers weekly! Family ties were mended and all my court issue were addressed and rides were provided to and from as needed. I have been to 9 treatment centers all throughout southern California and I can honestly say the discovery house is in a class of its own. I feel confident transitioning to the next phase and have confidence I will succeed. If anyone is considering to enter treatment, from one addict and alcoholic to another I suggest you come here and am certain you will discover yourself just as I did.

Incredible experience here. I felt welcome and met a lot of wonderful people. The care and treatment are certainly effective and unique to each individual.

They have the best staff. I felt immediately comfortable coming in, every welcoming me, even all the clients. I would highly recommend The Discovery House!

We're thankful for your kind words Michael, and you are most certainly a welcome member of our TDH Family!

Coming here was a transformative experience. I was at my lowest and TDH really helped me work through my mental health and addiction issues. The staff and counselors are all super supportive and kind. The food is delicious and the houses are all really comfortable and homey. There's always someone to talk to and it really helped me out of my isolation. Sticking with the program is the best thing anyone struggling can do for themselves, despite the challenge of wanting to throw in the towel and leave, everyone here is going through something and you're never alone in what you're facing because there are so many other clients to form connections with. The groups are amazing and they give you a workbook to go through with self evaluation questions. They hold events for fun sometimes like pool parties, pizza parties, bowling, tie dye shirts, rock painting, outings to Walmart, etc.

The Discovery House saved my life. The counselors and support staff are amazing and the food is delicious. Yes, there are restrictions that may be inconvenient but it is always for the safety of the clients here. If you're ready to be honest with yourself and get clean, this is the place to find support, love and hope.

This was my first time in rehab. I have to admit i was really nervous about finding the right place for me. Since the first phone call I felt great and let me tell you-----they weren't like the other places who will continue to BLOW up your phone every single day! They were very patient with me. Especially having every questioned in the book. The day i arrived i felt like i was coming into a great environment. They were very welcoming and they made me feel safe. The counselors were Amazing! My personal counselor was Jaime! And i truly have to say she was the best. She taught me so many things about life and how to cope through the good and bad. The other counselors and everyone who worked there were just great overall. They made us all feel like we are all special. If this is your first time- please take the time to check it out. Its a nice location, the beds are just like home, the food is just like home and most of all its such a great place to educate yourself and focus on your recovery! Who ever reads this---- Its your time! You got this! TDH I LOVE YOU THANK YOU!

At TDH I was able to get back in touch with an aspect of my humanity I had been neglecting. I have been able to reconnect with the 12 steps of recovery and I am confident I have enough tools and resources to be able to remain sober as long as I have faith in my higher power and am honest with myself.
