Teton Motors Subaru

We picked out a vehicle and we said we would pay cash. The salesman said he needed to talk to his manager and would call us back. After 7 days with no follow up, we moved on and bought a Forester in Butte Montana. I mean WTH?

I sold my Subaru this past summer on Facebook marketplace and started looking for a new car. My options for dealerships were limited so I decided to go with Subaru since it was the closest place possible. I found this nice looking 2013 F150 3.5L ecoboost with close to 100.000 miles with a tiny bit of rust so I decided to test drive it.

Everything worked fine except when you tried bringing the car past 55 mph the engine light would flash and then turn off eventually and would also misfire and buck when I tried putting the car under any type of load. I confronted the dealership about it and they told me that the car had no mechanical issues even when I told them about the misfiring and the engine light going off so I decided that I would take there word for it since the car had passed there mandatory inspection I thought that everything must be fine so I went ahead and purchased the vehicle.

I was driving on a road that had a speed limit of 70 mph so I decided to step on the accelerator to bring my car up to the speed limit. The car would not go past 60 mph and would misfire until the engine light started flashing and I had to pull the car off to the side of the road since it went into limp mode and I was starting to impede traffic.

Frustrated with the dealership selling me a car they claimed to be in perfect working condition I called them confronting them about the issue and they had told me that there was nothing they could do since I bought the car as is. They offered to take a look at it for me so I decided to bring the car in for them to take a look at it.

I parked the car in the used car section and handed the keys over and left it overnight for them to inspect it the following day. I came the next day and I was immediately suspicious since the car was sitting in the same spot I had parked it and they proceeded to tell me that there was no issues with the car even though there clearly was.

The ignition coils being faulty not only caused my engine to misfire but it was not burning fuel correctly so unburned fuel was starting to be sent out of the exhaust system. This caused my catalytic converter to get clogged and I had to replace both of those along with the ignition coils just so I could make it back across the country to my home state of Virginia. A 22,000 dollar used truck is already expensive as is but when a dealership lies about the cars working condition and that causes other expensive components to fail that is just unacceptable in my eyes.

I found the staff to be rude and unprofessional and my hope is that somebody sees this and get's there car inspected privately before purchasing anything from these liars.

As an out-of-state customer, I found the communications, services, and details associated with a review of the vehicle to be outstanding. Upon arrival at the airport, I received a ride to the dealership. The car was ready for me to drive, and it was exactly as discussed. I purchased it and drove off to Kansas.

Came through town from Canada. Noticed hood vibrating when a truck went by. Fearful of it getting torn off on the highway, we dropped in, and although the shop was super busy, the manager got us in, fixed the hood latch, and sent us on our way, no charge. Thanks again guys.

It was a pleasure to work with John and the Teton Motors Subaru crew. No drama and we love that they are right here for whatever might come up in the future.

Wow, what a stress-free, super-smooth, trouble-free experience purchasing my brand new white 2023 Subaru WRX Base from Teton Motors Subaru. I never ordered a new car close to 2,000 miles away from NJ, but I have to say it was better than buying from my local Subaru dealer Thank you, Rick, Raul, & Holly for putting up with all of my questions while this transaction was in the works.
