Tampa Marriott Westshore

Easy and friendly check in. I was able to get a mobile key, and it worked.
We had a drink at the bar and relaxed at the pool.

The rest of the night in the room Netflix and Chilling .

I will revisit whenever I'm in Tampa, and would recommend my friends and family.

The room smelled like an old stuffy dirty laundry room. The shower was molded in areas and the linen had stains on them. Not a pleasant visit at all. However the hallways and lobby appeared clear. I did not visit the restaurant.

Very nice staff, very clean in all areas visited. Convenient location.

Nice place...

Nothing works in this room..phone,fridge,a/c.they have a floor lamp but is not plugged in and there is no plug...its just not up to Marriott standards,I feel I'm in a 2 star hotel.
The phone is working now but I have to hold the cable in for it to work.
Jake from maintenance was great and helpful but thats about it here.
Was told they will change the room but no one has gotton back to me yet..its been 3 hrs....sad

Good and Bad
It is not all good or all bad.

In fact the hotel is nice but far from neat. It was refurbished but not everything was.

Overall not to the standard you would expect from a Marriott, it is not well run: as an example the state of the bathroom with towels and toilet paper toilet of all the floor, the breaksfast in the dinning room where dirty plates are piled up in a corner and supplies not stored but sitting there in the room.

My room was nice overall but noisy as poorly sound proofed so you hear a lot the cars and in particulars trucks. I really like my corner room !

So overall, it is a mixed feeling. Could be that the covid situation and the filling rate is not enabling to have the proper staffing and the right budget for refurbishment.

The hotel itself was fine. What really made our experience here five stars was Freddie, the shuttle driver! Freddie picked us up from the airport and offered ice cold water bottles. I found this to be a very nice gesture. He was very friendly and welcoming and gave us several recommendations on restaurants in the area. We were not disappointed!

Horrible! Not up to Marriott standards, dirty, old. Customer Service at the front desk is horrendous. Absolutely no care for Elite Bonvoy members. Stay anywhere else but here.
