Subaru 46

received an email from Timothy Galdieri Finance Mgr a few days after I purchased my 2022 Suburu. The email said you will soon be receiving a survey from Suburu and if there is any reason you won't give us 5/5 stars let us know now. I emailed back that I went to this dealership when it was Rt 46 Subaru and had been treated fair and thats why I had returned. But my experience was very bad for the following reasons.
Interest Rate: My credit is exceptional. Subaru was offering a 1.9% I got 3.59.
Doc Fee: With my 2020 the doc fee was $349. This car was $799. in doc fee.
Etching: 2020 Subaru there was no cost for the etching I didn't want it. This car $349.
My trade in was worth 29-32K I was given 25k. And I paid $4000. above MSRP of the new car.
So after letting them know why I couldn't give them 5 stars I received a call from my sales person Joe Reynolds who said the General Manager Michael Antonelli wanted to speak with me.
I spoke with Mr Michael Antonelli who said he would have me sign a waiver for 1 year of free gas in exchange for a 5 star review. I signed the waiver and gave them a five star review. I had been taken to the cleaners on this deal so at least it was a way to recoop a few dollars. After 4 fill up's I get a call from Mr Antonelli with some reason why I could no longer get the free gas and he would 'make it right' which was offering me the partial cash value of the gas. After 3 weeks I asked he what was going on. He said come in and sign a waiver and I will overnight the check. I said I wouldn't sign a waiver until I had the check. Well of course there is no check to be had, no gas, just a waiver for 1 year free gas which I was told to stop using.
So I have been so totally ripped off by this dealership. These practices can't be legal, and this is not the Suburu way.

I just walked in and a friendly elderly person arrived. He explained me about the availability of forester which was not in my budget. He noted my number and said he will call me if he gets the vehicle in my budget. Friendly and nice place and I will not hesitate even if they charge few hunderd / a thousand dollar above others.

I worked with a young salesman Andy Garcia. He was extremely helpful, he stayed in touch with me giving me updates on the status of my car. Very professional, very helpful. I would definitely purchase from him again.

Subaru of Hackettstown is absolutely the BEST!

I was initially very upset at the perceived discrepancy between MSRP and market price, but salesperson Andy Garcia was amazing. He apologized and (in the face of my anger) calmly explained about chip shortages and inventory deficit. He aggressively pursued every possible avenue to find a financial middle ground and to defuse the situation. He was a consistently calm, attentive, and kind salesperson. I was impressed by his honesty and refusal to apply high-pressure sales tactics. He built rapport by sharing personal stories and repeatedly offered us refreshments. I can't sing Andy's praises enough.

Considering how terrible the market and supply is for cars I have to say this dealer really came through for me. My car died on Friday and they had me in EXACTLY the car I wanted on Monday. Which in THIS market is magical. Rajonie was so pleasant and fun to work with and he really bent over backwards to get me the car I wanted. He was up front about everything. Micheal also bent over backwards to get us the rate and payment we needed. I ADORE the car! And not only that they took my rental back for me. This was the most pleasant and easy car purchase I have ever made! Seriously great people!

Purchased my first Subaru, and I had a wonderful experience with Mike Antonella and Andy Garcia. They really worked with me to find the perfect vehicle that met all my needs. It was also the fastest experience I've had with purchasing a vehicle! I would 100% recommend to my friends, family, and neighbors to come to this location if they are thinking of purchasing a Subaru. 100/10 experience!

Joe was great
