Still River Winery is located in the heart of apple country in central Massachusetts. We specialize in an apple ice wine. In fact, this is the only wine we produce. We are a small, family-run farmer winery, fermenting our wine in five-gallon batches, not the 250-gallon tanks found in commercial wineries.
Sweet, golden, and full-bodied in the glass, our apple ice wine is made from a blend of local varietal apples - over 80 apples in each bottle. Inspired by techniques used to make ice wine, Apfel Eis, our signature apple ice wine, is pressed without preservatives, and slowly fermented at very cold temperatures. This preserves the delicate aromas and flavors that would disappear if fermented more quickly at warmer temperatures. Unlike most wines and ciders made from apples, Apfel Eis has absolutely no sugar added - before or after fermentation.
