St. Marys Chrysler Dodge Jeep

My husband is changing career paths and he needed to upgrade to a diesel. After searching for weeks for the perfect truck, we finally found one that we thought met all of the qualifications in St. Mary, Ohio's at St Mary's Chrysler Dodge Jeep. We are an hour west of St. Louis, Missouri which is a 7 hour drive one way. After speaking several times with St Mary's Chrysler Dodge Jeep, we decided to take an entire day off work and make the journey. We had a gorgeous trade in which was my husbands pride and joy and has been very well taken care of. Up front we told the minor issues with our trade in and once we got to St Mary's Chrysler Dodge Jeep, they looked at our trade in and praised us on our honesty and what we said was wrong with our trade in was actually the only issues we had. Unfortunately, I cannot say that they gave us the same courtesy and honestly. There were several cosmetic issues with the diesel we were looking at that were not noted on their website description, or in the several times we spoke to them over the phone before hand. We did take an entire day off work and drive the 7 hours there, so we decided to look past the issues and purchase the diesel. They gladly took our trade in with zero issues, and after filling out paperwork and having St. Mary's Chrysler Dodge Jeep fix last minute issues with the diesel such as the back seat not folding down at all, we were on our way 7 hours home back to St. Louis. 6 hours out from St. Louis, only an hour into our drive home, the check engine light in the diesel came on. We thankfully did make it home, and took it for a local dealership the next day. The local dealership told us this was a permanent light that was turned off by St. Mary's Chrysler Dodge Jeep on purpose and never ever disclosed to us. The diesel had big issues that needed to be fixed, and St Mary's agreed to pay for them. We have have the diesel for two weeks, and it has been in the shop majority of the time. Now, we do not have the title yet, do not have the money we were promised for our trade in, and St Mary's is now refusing to pay for the lemon of a diesel that we were sold and will not answer our phone calls or the local dealerships. They have since happily sold our trade in and made money off that, while here we are without a diesel and my husband cannot work until this issue is fixed, the diesel is currently STILL sitting at the local dealership and cannot he released until the hefty bill is paid for.

Such a disappointing experience, I guess we were being taken advantage of because we were out of towners and they needed to unload this diesel onto someone. We do not recommend this dealership to anyone. We will update once we figure out how to get it out of the shop

I realized that I forgot to post a Google review of my great experience here last year. Brian Engel was great, and made the purchasing experience of my 2021 truck easy....almost scary easy but that was what I came in for and that is what I left with, a great trick. The service department is great as well, and fortunately the only service needed has been the scheduled maintenance. I'm not saying everyone's experience will always be the same, vehicles are machines after all, but I feel like the dealership will do all it can to help a customer find a nice vehicle.

Sat and waited and it was like those no time for me, I tested and drove the car I wanted and that was it, they sent message and apologized after I left,but it was just not ok

They are scam on us about suv has crash in past.... we don't get money back because we found out that sales. Guy was fire and not form us about suv has alot trouble ... I would not back there again most I like Kerns better then this company.... I m going sues that company is scam us .....

So I had so issues with my truck the first day I drove it off the lot ( turbo code , a popping in the front end and the rear window didn't work)I took it in they cleared the turbo code and said nothing else was wrong. I went back to pick it up after they installed a backup camera , I thought I would stop and say something to the owner Scott because the service guys was rude .He never gave me a chance to finish the first sentence and accused me of having an attitude then told me to take my truck and leave. $27,000 I paid
