I checked into the Louisville Airport Spring Hill Suites for a one night stay on November 21st 2024. The original person I spoke w/at the front desk (Gloria) was lovely and accommodating and recognized that I was a somewhat frequent guest and an Platinum Elite member. I had an evening flight booked for the next day, and I asked Gloria what was the latest time I could get for a late checkout the following day - she said "4:00 PM". I told her that I would probably be out before 4:00 PM, and that it would probably be between 3:00 and 4:00. When I left the following morning for my business meetings, I stopped at the front desk to pick up a pack of mints and ended up waiting for well over 10-minutes for someone to come back to the desk so I could pay for my purchase. At that time, I confirmed with the new person at the front desk (I neglected to get her name) that my latest checkout time would be 4:00 PM - she said "yes".

When I got back to the hotel room around 1:00 PM, I changed into my "traveling" clothes so I could be ready to leave, but, I had not started packing as I needed to get on my laptop to do some needed work. Part of this story is this: I am an amputee, and when I work at my desk, I take my prosthetic leg off as it is more comfortable, so I'm working at my desk w/out a leg on when at around 2:50 there is a knock on the door from housekeeping - I yell out, that I'm not ready to leave yet, but I'll start packing as soon as i finished what I was working on. I then got a call from the front desk telling me that I needed to have already left - I told the person who called that I had been told that I had till 4:00, and she said "no you don't", and I told her that I would start shutting down and get ready to leave. from that point on, I had two door knocks, and two other phone calls in the space of 20 to 30 minutes. I was hurriedly out the door by 3:30, and as I was leaving, the woman downstairs rudely repeated that "you do not have a 4:00 PM checkout, and it is not in our system".

I have rarely written reviews at one of my Marriott stays (good or bad), but felt so disrespected by the staff here that I am taking the time to relay this information.

We all have choices where to stay, and I also have status at both the Hilton and IHG brands but generally choose Marriott's. I work for an international engineering firm that is getting ready to start a large 8+ month project that I will be sure to tell our folks not to stay at this hotel.

We moved my parents here to be closer to the airport for an early flight for them back hm to FL. The staff was great, rooms are modern & different -- shape of them is cool! Good views for the location!

We have stayed at this location several times without issues, booking through a third party. This time we show up to check in and we’re told they didn’t have our reservation, the front desk was not accommodating whatever. I contacted the third party company who called the front desk to work something out and the staff at the hotel refused any information and hung up on the third party company. We drove across the parking lot, and were welcomed in at the Hilton, no issues and the Hilton staff was so apologetic for the behavior we were shown at the Spring Hill Suites. Very disappointed!

My stay here was very cozy! Most of all I came here to command you all on service. Front desk service was amazing from day one! I travel weekly and I must say SAMANTHA was the most amazing customer service rep ever and if I’m ever in Louisville again I will be sure to book for her service again. Above and beyond. It’s hard to find in this type of service today. Thank you Samantha. I want to add the breakfast was really good as well. Great location !

The staff was very nice and welcoming. The bed was comfortable. The breakfast was very nice. The shower was not good. There was mold buildup in the corners and within 45 seconds the water was backing up. I’m easy to please but cleanliness is very important to me and the shower was not to standard. It just looks old from top to bottom.

My only compaint about this place is there is nowhere to sit outside. No chairs, benches, tables, nothing. There are 2 lounge chairs outside the pool but that's it. Other than that, it's a nice clean hotel with a modest free breakfast in the morning. Plenty of parking.

Just a heads up they sized down all their beds. When I showed up there was a last complaining about the king room she got not being a king size bed. Our room has two tiny beds so we got to cuddle real close with each other. Where you would typically have a single as a king they are now queens and where you would typically have two queens you now have two double beds. That's important if you are reserving for a group and need bed space. The breakfast is probably the 2nd worst I have had at any Marriott hotel.
