Add ReviewI and my wife stopped for lunch. Ordered Malai Kofta nd Roghan Josh. Asked if the meat for Roghan Josh is tender. Without letting us know it was served, the toughest lamb meat i ever tasted in my life. Deaf ear was turned on complaint. The man ( a tall guy) was rude and sort of insulating. Same way the Malai Kofta was vegetable kofta from raw potatoes. I didnt want to create a scence. Left the resturant without enjoying food and paying a bill of $39.98. I thought Spice 9 was a good restaurant.Report

Stopped by for the Sunday buffet 7/22/2012. The gal they had seating & bringing beverages was surly & sullen. She slammed paper place mats onto the table, then asked in an impatient & obnoxious tone _ what we wanted to drink BEFORE we'd all been seated or viewed a drink menu. Then, she slammed glasses of water on the table without a word or even a smile. Someone else came by & poured water in my son's clear soda. The restaurant was dirty, our booth where we sat was broken, the large decorative mirrors were smeared & greasy. The buffet, left much to be desired...not all the dishes were properly labeled. The raita was like watered down sour milk...the worst I've ever had. The bread was overly burnt, & many of the other dishes were quite greasy, & imbalanced. Buffet cleanliness was not up to par either. This is NOT good Indian cooking, by any stretch of the imagination, & certainly didn't warrant a twelve dollar per person cost! If you want a beautifully prepared Indian buffet in a clean, lovely atmosphere with kind & absolutely impeccable service - go to Sangam Indian Cuisine in Cornelius. Their buffet is also much cheaper - & gives vastly superior food, atmosphere, AND service!Report

I like to try different restaurants but never tried an Indian restaurant. My friend suggested me to visit Spice 9. I was a little hesitant. I tried their food at taste of Charlotte and I liked it. I went to Spice 9 for dinner and had an excellent food. It was not bad at all. It was not that spicy or oily. It was perfect. If you are trying Indian food first time, visit Spice 9. Try seafood, chicken tikka, and garlic naan. You become a regular at Spice 9. Good people and great service.Report
