SW delivered a container to my house over 6 months ago. The delivery was late "due to equipment failure." When the reservation was made I explained the container would hold the contents of my house during floor refinishing. What was delivered was a filthy, oil soaked container that had clearly just come from a construction site.Report
SW agreed to deliver a new container the next day. As the driver dropped the container, he observed that the delivery from the day before had damaged my new rain gutters. The previous driver struck the gutter, ripping and denting the metal. This driver, who was outside of the vehicle, dropping the container remotely, failed to either notice or inform me, or his supervisors, that he had struck my home.
The second driver noted the damage, even commenting on the obvious paint transfer, reporting it to his supervisors and taking photos. After contacting SW, I was asked several times to send pictures. I was assured someone would come to the property to inspect and repair the damage.
Throughout July and August I attempted to get a resolution. The ball was dropped multiple times. Finally in September a company gave SW a quote. I never spoke with or witnessed who completed the quote for the company SW chose.
Beginning in October, I finally reached out to SW corporate office in Arizona. A senior VP took control of the issue. I explained that I wanted SW to cut ME a check for the quote THEY obtained and void my final $58 charge. I was told the acccounting system at SW will not allow them to void the charge and the check to settle the damages was made out to the company that never had time to consult with me or notify me that had been on my property for the quote.
Southwest Mobile Storage is a terrible company. I will obviously never use them again. I strongly recommend using any other storage container company. Absolutely shameful.
